SPINS Expands With Marketing, AI Capabilities

SPINS today announced the debut of two new platforms for both CPG brands and retailers that will expand the market researcher’s capabilities into digital marketing and AI enablement with SPINS Journey and SPINS Foundry, respectively.
Both platforms will officially launch in 2026 and come on the heels of significant growth for SPINS, which acquired pricing insights provider Datasembly in June and product locator Lucky Labs in May after announcing a strategic partnership with retail intelligence and commerce tech platform Stackline in February.
“SPINS’ growth has been accelerated through strategic acquisitions and organic investments over the past two years, adding or enhancing capabilities in digital experiences, shopper engagement, digital product data, and real-time, hyperlocal data to strengthen its ability to help customers navigate this new era,” the company emphasized.
The new marketing arm, SPINS Journey, taps into the researcher’s product knowledge to guide consumer discovery and purchases on “physical, digital, and agentic shelves;” the capability allows SPINS customers to seek out and reach audiences that align with their offerings.
SPINS Journey tools include advanced geotargeting, audience overlays and custom audiences, allowing business operators to convert new customers across “media platforms and AI surfaces through product locator, shoppable landing pages, and shoppable links,” the company said.
The AI integrations don’t end there either. SPINS Foundry taps into “AI and agentic technologies” to optimize a product’s path to purchase, from discovery to channel distribution. The platform seeks to give operators “deep context” on every CPG offering.
According to a statement from the market researcher, expansion into these areas is essential at this current moment in time where “the CPG and grocery industries are experiencing one of the most transformative moments in their history.”
Additionally, SPINS emphasized that “rapidly” shifting shopping behaviors have pushed the company to continue to evolve, highlighting the blurred lines between brick-and-mortar and digital commerce, the rise of AI influencing discovery and the expansion of conscious consumption across categories and demographics.
“SPINS has been evolving alongside these changes through acquisitions, integrations, and strategic investments to ensure our partners are ready not only to keep pace but to lead,” the company told Nosh via email. “This new framework ensures that whether you’re innovating a new product, orchestrating a shopper journey, or adapting to AI-powered discovery, you’ll have the insights and infrastructure you need to succeed.”
