Dawn Anderson, the founder and CEO of OHi Food Co., believes the taste, texture, and nutritional profile sets the brand apart from other refrigerated bars. The company’s line of plant-based bars combines whole ingredients such as pumpkin seeds, macadamia nuts, and almonds, with functional ingredients like maca, reishi mushrooms, and mesquite powders. The Hawaii-based company launched into mainland US, by way of southern California, in January of 2018 with the help of its investor and partner, Boulder Food Group. They have since expanded to other regions and are looking for another partner to help with distribution and growth.
