The one-day celebration will bring free cookies, O’ts ambassadors, and raisin trauma therapy to New York City in the name of better cookies and an even better cause by supporting City Harvest’s work feeding New Yorkers in need.
NEW YORK, NY — September 23, 2026 — Enough is enough. O'ts Cookies is officially declaring October 3, 2026 as National #!&% Raisins Day, a nationwide celebration dedicated to everyone who has ever bitten into what they thought was a delicious oatmeal cookie, expecting chocolate chips, only to discover it was FULL OF RAISINS (horrifying, right?!).
The one-day event will transform Manhattan into the epicenter of the anti-raisin movement with O’ts ambassadors, free cookies, social media activations, on-the-go "Raisin Trauma Therapy", and a massive call for cookie-lovers everywhere to sign the Anti Raisin Pledge to never again let an unsuspecting raisin ruin a perfectly good cookie.
"If you've ever suffered the disappointment of an unexpected raisin, this day is for you," said Nina Lombardo and Anna Kotler, founders of O'ts Cookies. "We want to communicate what is “oh so” special about O’ts. Our oatmeal cookies are crafted to deliver bold, global flavors with ingredients such as Sicilian Sea Salt, Aleppo Pepper, Chai Spice, Vietnamese Cinnamon, and Japanese Yuzu. The kinds of cookies that would never, ever depend on a raisin for flavor!”
Bringing National #!&% Raisins Day to New York City
Meeting at 11:00 a.m. at Madison Square Park in New York City, a team of O’ts Ambassadors will fan out across Manhattan, handing out free O’ts Cookies, coupons, and stickers while inviting New Yorkers to sign the Anti-Raisin Pledge. Teams will make their way through iconic locations including: Central Park, the Upper East and Upper West Side, SoHo, Chelsea/Meatpacking, Flatiron/Union Square, West Village, Lower East Side/East Village, and ending in Times Square, capturing photos, videos and “man-on-the-street” interviews along the way.
O’ts founders, Anna and Nina will travel alongside the ambassadors in one of the O’ts-themed pedicabs. People will be invited to share their accidental raisin encounters, receive delicious cookies, and encouragement to “move on” from their raisin-related disappointments. The duo will share their location throughout the day using the Glympse app so New Yorkers can follow along.
And because no anti-raisin campaign should stay small, the day's festivities will conclude at Times Square, where participants will gather to watch the debut of an O'ts 30 second advertisement on a digital billboard overlooking Broadway, with motion graphics by Alex Bodnar and animation by Julia Bodnar.
Turning Raisin Resentment Into Something Good
Every pledge signature will also do some good: for each person who signs, O’ts Cookies will donate $1 to City Harvest, up to $1,000, and every signer will be entered for a chance to win free O’ts Cookies for a year. In addition, 20% of sales from co-branded O’ts #!&% Raisins / City Harvest merchandise sold at otscookies.com will be donated to City Harvest. Fundraising efforts will continue until the end of the year or until $1,000 is raised. Sign the pledge today!
