California-based ice cream brand Re:THINK Ice Cream announced a reformulation adding in collagen and lactose-free A2/A2 dairy to its ice cream. Along with the ingredient change, the brand has updated its packaging to reflect these attributes, while also calling out that the ice cream is low sugar and low carb. Available in 12 flavors, the 14 oz. cartons retail for $6.99 online and in select retailers.

EPIC Provisions

EPIC Provisions released several new products this month, including Chicken Crisps. The crunchy snack which is made with meat from chicken breasts, coconut flour and spices, is available on the brand’s website and exclusively at Sprouts Farmers Market for $4.99 per pouch. The brand also expanded its grass-fed beef protein bar line to include Sea Salt + Pepper Bars and Jalapeno Bars flavors and added Sriracha flavor to its line of Chicken Bites.

MCTco added three new flavors to its keto-friendly and collagen-based superfood MCTBar line: Berry Beautiful, Lemon Boost and Banana Beautiful. The bars are available on Amazon for $29.99 per 12-count box.

Chobani released a limited edition PB&J flavor of its low fat greek yogurt this month, with profits benefiting Feeding America. The flavor, featuring strawberry yogurt with peanut butter, will be sold at retailers nationwide through September.

Plant-based meal kit brand Purple Carrot moved into the frozen aisle this month with the launch of new single-serve frozen meals developed in partnership with Conagra. Sold at Whole Foods for $5.29, the meals are available in four varieties: Plant-Based Meatball Marinara (made with Gardein Meatless Meatballs) Bowl; Maple Chipotle Veggie Bowl; Sweet Corn Elote Bowl; and Fiesta Pepper Bowl (made with Gardein Beefless Ground).

Nellie’s Free Range Eggs rolled out three new products: Free Range Butter, Free Range Sous Vide Egg Bites and Limited Edition Free Range Traditional Eggnog. The Free Range Butter is available in Sea Salted and Unsalted varieties, while the eggs bites are sold in Uncured Ham & Swiss, Broccoli & Cheddar and Uncured Bacon & Pepper Jack flavors.

San Francisco-based Mexican food brand Tia Lupita partnered with Renewal Mill to add to its grain-free cactus tortilla line with a new tortilla made with upcycled flour. Available on Amazon, the tortilla features Renewal Mill’s organic okara flour and contains two grams of fiber and 45 calories per serving.

Protein bar maker ONE Brands rolled out a new limited edition S’mores flavor containing 20 grams of protein and 1 gram of sugar. ONE S'mores bars are now available on the brand’s website and Amazon, as well as in store at Trader Joe's and specialty retailers, for a suggested retail price of $2.49 to $2.79.

Plant-based food brand Sweet Earth launched its Awesome Bacon Burger, a vegan bacon hamburger made with pea protein, natural hickory smoke flavor, fruit and vegetable concentrate for color. The Awesome Bacon Burger, which contains 26 grams of protein per serving, is now available at H-E-B.

Premium baking, pancake and waffle mix maker Krusteaz launched an Energizing Oat Bites Mix in two varieties, Chocolate Chip Oat and Cinnamon Oat. The products, which require no baking, contain eight grams of plant-based protein per serving, made with whole grain oats, flaxseed and chia. Both flavors have hit shelves at Walmart nationwide for $3.99.

Perfect Snacks rolled out two new limited edition summer flavors: Lemon Poppy Seed and Cherry Pie. Made with peanut and cashew butter and wildflower honey, both flavors are available online, sold in a 12-bar Summer Variety Pack for $32.

Ice cream maker Alden’s is gearing up for the holiday season, announcing two limited edition flavors, Peppermint Twist and Pumpkin Cheesecake. The flavors will be available in Alden’s signature “sqrounds” ($7.99-$8.49) and novelties ($4.99-$5.49) this fall at Sprouts, Raley’s, New Seasons and National Co+op Grocers.
