The Boston-area brand offers stores a margin of about 48% on a one-scoop, 11-ingredient add-in that goes into the coffee shoppers already buy.
BOSTON, MA — October 23, 2026 — The Power Coffee today opened wholesale accounts for independent grocers, cafes, gyms and general stores. Its product is a 10 g scoop that shoppers stir into their own coffee. It adds caffeine, taurine, matcha and ginkgo, so nobody has to switch coffee brands to use it.
Shoppers are spending more on coffee. US retail coffee sales rose 13% in the 52 weeks ended Nov. 29, 2025, according to Circana data reported by Food Business News. Most functional coffees ask buyers to replace the coffee they already like. The Power Coffee sits next to it instead, so a store's coffee aisle gains an add-on sale rather than a competitor.
Built for the independent shelf
Wholesale: $9.90 per pack, in cases of 50 ($495 a case)
Suggested retail: $18.90 for a 15-serving pack, a retailer margin of about 48%
Cost to the shopper: $1.26 a serving, compared with $5 or more for a cafe latte
Format: shelf-stable, resealable 150 g pack, made in the USA
Current sales: 80 to 120 packs a month at website and on Amazon
What's in the scoop
Each serving has about 175 mg of natural caffeine, 2.1 g of taurine, 600 mg of matcha, 207 mg of ginkgo biloba extract, 500 mg of Ceylon cinnamon and ginger. The 11-ingredient blend has zero sugar, zero lactose and no artificial ingredients. It is designed to support steady energy and focus through the working day.
The formula is Illuminate Labs Certified. That third-party review was medically reviewed by a physician and covered the formula's safety and ingredient evidence. The 175 mg caffeine dose sits under the 200 mg single-dose level that the European Food Safety Authority says raises no safety concerns for healthy adults.
From one founder's mornings to the shelf
Founder Leo Lacerda is a Brazilian-American entrepreneur who trains for Ironman before his two kids wake up. He spent dozens of batches building the formula for his own afternoons.
“Independent stores are where people already buy their morning coffee, so that's where we want to be,” said Lacerda. “We priced it so a shopper pays about a dollar a cup and the store still keeps a real margin. Nobody has to give up the coffee they love.”
