Los Roast, a premiere brand of New Mexico based Best in the West Company, has been accepted into over 600 new stores in the third quarter of 2024, including four Western Divisions of Albertson’s Companies Inc, Northwest based QFC, a division of Kroger & Co, as well as Northern California based Raley’s, Supermarkets which includes Raley’s, Nob Hill and Bell Air retail banners.
Los Roast creates award-winning products with both green and red chiles and places great importance on sourcing New Mexico-grown chiles, which are often heritage varietals. They work directly with farmers to ensure each harvest provides the best flavors to that go into the Los Roast award winning products. The company’s products are shelf stable and all natural, roasted chiles are packaged during harvest at the peak of flavor.
Owner Marshall Berg says, “Our never frozen process gives us the best possible flavor. We carefully control every step from farm to jar.”
Los Roast’s chile products include roasted New Mexico green chile, roasted New Mexico red chile, New Mexico green chile sauce, New Mexico red chile sauce as well as Green Chile Salsa. All Los Roast Hatch chiles are New Mexico-grown, most on fifth-generation farms.
The company's purpose-built facility utilizes automated processing equipment to achieve authentic products at scale. Their process is informed by over a decade of seeking out the best solutions for roasting, storage, and transportation. Los Roast does not process products containing allergens or potential GMO ingredients.
Los Roast retail products are available in such retail stores such as Bristol Farms, Nugget, New Seasons, Gelsons and PCC. The brand is distributed nationally by KeHe and UNFI.
