Bottle Logic Brewing is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver for the San Diego county area to join our growing team! The position is not limited to deliveries; we maintain and troubleshoot beer dispensing systems at our on-premise accounts, utilize the fleet as pouring stations at festivals, retrieve cooperage and represent the brand at out-of-town events.

 

The hourly base pay range for this position is between $18-22 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

 

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:


  • Loading of company-provided fleet cargo vans, ensuring that both the vehicle and the products are safe throughout the process
  • We may occasionally operate non-DOT box trucks for special events; experience with these is definitely a plus 
  • Safely operate company delivery vehicle in accordance with local, state, and federal laws; reporting any vehicle warning lights or maintenance reminders to the Fleet & Logistics Manager at EOD 
  • At the direction of the Fleet & Logistics Manager, take the vehicle to designated facilities for service
  • Build and wrap pallets for local delivery, disassembling these pallets on the road while keeping everything safe while out on the road.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment (manual and powered pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, walkie (straddle) stackers, and any other equipment deemed necessary to complete daily tasks) throughout all warehouse spaces
  • Knowledge of draft beer systems including but not limited to long-draw, short-draw, jockey box, and vehicle-mounted systems
  • We will teach you how to clean and troubleshoot draft systems out in the field, but a good foundation to build on is key
  • Accurately keep records of the following: invoices, cash/checks/money orders collected, keg and tap handle deposits/returns, vehicle inventories
  • Projecting a world-class image for the brewery and the products you deliver
  • Warehouse work: Inventory, cleaning, organizing, material handling, loading/unloading deliveries, and labeling pallets
  • Conduct weekly Finished Goods inventories and reporting discrepancies to the Fleet & Logistics Manager
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all vehicle, warehouse, and cold box spaces
  • Safely operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, straddle stacker, forklift) throughout the warehouse
  • Performing all functions according to Bottle Logic procedures and policies
  • Any other duties delegated to by a manager
  • Reporting all of the above to our Fleet Commander and General Manager


CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS:

  • 25+ Years of age (due to insurance limitations)
  • 1-2 years of experience driving large cargo vans or straight/bobtail type vehicles
  • Delivery experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Clean driving record, both in personal and prior company vehicles
  • Absolutely no DUI convictions on driving record
  • Must be able to load, lift, and unload cases (approximately 30 pounds each) & kegs (up to 165 pounds each) and maneuver a hand truck (up to 400 pounds) at the brewery and in the field
  • Have the ability to twist, turn, crouch, climb, squat, and/or stoop repeatedly throughout the day
  • Industry-leading customer service skills both at accounts and during events/festivals
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision at the warehouse, the brewery, and while in the field
  • Excellent communication, time management, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Strong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations, and requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with respect to all Bottle Logic’s personnel at all levels, in addition to customers and suppliers
  • Familiarity with using a computer and Android phone
  • Basic math skills to adjust invoices in the field
  • Knowledge of beer dispensing systems
  • Extreme attention to detail
