Roughly one year after its launch, at Expo West 2023 NOSH editor Carol Ortenberg sat down with The Kraft Heinz NotCompany CEO Lucho Lopez-May to discuss how the joint venture has approached innovation and is bringing plant-based alternatives to the Kraft Heinz portfolio.
To-date the company has produced two products: plant-based Kraft Singles and a NotCo branded vegan mayonnaise. In the interview, Lopez-May shared how the two companies decide to go with the Kraft or NotCo brand on pack, how the duo evaluates success in the marketplace and what the JV believes is the largest driver in why consumers purchase plant-based products.
