Notable New Products: Monster Mixes & Blenderless Smoothie Cubes

In this week’s roundup of notable new products, Tom’s Perfect 10 releases a dessert-inspired granola, Sambazon unveils shaker bottle-friendly smoothie cubes and Chobani expands its yogurt lineup with zero sugar offerings.

Oobli

Oobli, formerly known as Joywell Foods, debuted its new line of chocolate bars made with a proprietary “sweet protein” produced via microbial fermentation. Available in three varieties – Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Raspberry and Dark Chocolate Sea Salt – the bars feature 70% cacao and, according to the brand, contain 70% less sugar than other bars on the market. All three flavors are available for pre-order online for $17 per 3-pack of 2.3 oz. bars.

Goodman Gluten Free

Goodman Gluten Free launched its newest innovation, Gluten Free Brown & Serve Dinner Rolls. The rolls heat up to a golden brown in just seven minutes and are available in a 6-pack at select retailers nationwide.

Greens First

Smart for Life, Inc. announced the debut of its Greens First protein bars, crafted with the flagship Greens First PRO formula. Available in two flavors at launch – Mint Chocolate Chip and Double Chocolate – each bar packs 15 grams of protein and is infused with collagen. Though not yet available, Greens First protein bars are slated to launch in the first quarter of 2023.

KIND

Better-for-you snacks maker KIND unveiled a soft granola, available in Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate Chunk flavors. The clusters are made with 100% whole grain oats and chopped nuts and offer a chewier texture than the brand’s classic crunchy granola. KIND soft granola is available at retailers nationwide for $5.99 per 11 oz. bag.

Violife

Dairy-free cheese brand Violife has launched a sour cream alternative in 833 Walmart locations nationwide. The new offering is made from a base of coconut oil and is free from nuts, soy and gluten. Violife Just Like Sour Cream is now available at select Walmart stores for $4.99 per 8.46 oz. tub.

Tom’s Perfect 10 x Rubirosa

Granola maker Tom’s Perfect 10 teamed up with famed New York City-based Italian-American restaurant Rubirosa to launch its newest granola flavor, Tiramisu. Inspired by the classic Italian dessert, the new flavor features lady fingers, cappuccino chips, chocolate and an assortment of oats, grains and nuts. Tom’s Perfect 10 x Rubirosa Tiramisu Granola is available online for $20 per bag.

Jax’s Monster Mix

Jax’s Monster Mix unveiled two new gluten-free snack mixes, Monster Pop Mix and Monster Sweet Mix. The former features gluten-free mini sea salt pretzel twists, vegan cheesy corn nuggets and banana chips while the latter is made up of dried diced mango, papaya, pineapple and milk chocolate-covered sunflower seeds. Monster Pop Mix is available online for $7.50 per 6-pack of 1 oz. pouches and Monster Sweet Mix is available for $7.50 per 12-pack of 0.5 oz. pouches.

SAMBAZON

SAMBAZON announced the addition of a new format to its frozen fruit lineup, Açai Smoothie Cubes. Available in two flavors – Mango & Açai and Mixed Berries & Açai – the blended fruit cubes are designed to be thawed and shaken with any liquid of choice, to create a blender-free smoothie. Both flavors are available at Whole Foods Market nationwide for $10.99 per 20 oz. bag.

Chobani

Chobani announced its new lineup of zero sugar offerings featuring Toasted Coconut, Strawberry and Limited Batch Salted Caramel varieties. All three flavors have zero sugar and just 60 calories per 5.3 oz. serving. Limited Batch Salted Caramel is available for $1.79 per single-serve container while Toasted Coconut and Strawberry are available for $5.79 per 4-pack.
