Gallery: New Year, New Products
The new year kicked off with a slew of better-for-you treats hitting shelves, with new frozen desserts from Ben & Jerry’s and O’MY, keto-friendly confections from Halo Top and Birch Benders and limited edition Valentine’s Day offerings from LesserEvil and RXBAR. Birch Benders
Pancake and waffle mix brand Birch Benders released a new microwavable baking mix line of low-carbohydrate and keto-friendly snacks. The seven SKUs include varieties of pancakes, cookies, brownies, cakes and muffins and are now available at Walmart and Sprouts.
Seedible
Sesame-based snack brand Seedible debuted a rebrand and reformulation for its line of sesame butters. Alongside new packaging, the butters now have a thicker formulation. The brand is now sold in Wegmans and The Fresh Market along with independent retailers.
Fancypants Baking Co.
Better-for-you cookie maker Fancypants Baking Co. launched a new Not Too Sweet line of keto-friendly cookies made with pumpkin and sunflower seeds. The cookies are available in 6 oz. and 18 oz. containers, in chocolate chip, double chocolate and lemon flavors.
Late July
Late July launched several new products this month: No Grain Tortilla Chips made with Tigernut flour (in Sea Salt and Lime flavors) and a line of certified organic potato chips (in Simple as Sea Salt, Laid Back BBQ, and Sea Salt & Vinegar Vibes). No Grain launched exclusively in Whole Foods, while the potato chips rolled out at Whole Foods, Giant Eagle and Stop & Shop. Both lines will be available nationwide in March.
LesserEvil
In time for Valentine’s Day, snack brand LesserEvil rolled out its first seasonal launches: Sweetheart Pop Organic Popcorn and Sweet Honey Puffs Grain Free Paleo Puffs. Both are available for a limited time at Whole Foods nationwide and on the brand’s website.
CLIF Bar
Clif Bar is offering a kick of caffeine with its new Coffee Collection, bars made with sustainably sourced organic Colombian coffee beans. The three flavors -- Dark Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Macchiato and Vanilla Almond -- each contain 65 mg of caffeine.
Chef's Cut Real Jerky Co.
Chef's Cut Real Jerky Co launched a Zero Sugar Meat Stick, made with 100% premium beef and pork, with 8 grams of protein per 1 oz. stick.
Halo Top
Low calorie ice cream brand Halo Top released The Keto Series, a 7-SKU offering of keto-friendly ice cream made from skim milk. The new line has hit shelves at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $5.99 per pint.
Kettle Brand
The latest flavor launches from potato chip maker Kettle Brand are Farmstand Ranch and Parmesan Garlic, now available at Whole Foods and Kroger for a suggested retail price of $3.79 per 8.5 oz. bag.
Kiva Confections
Cannabis-infused edibles brand Kiva Confections debuted its first edible infused with CBN, a cannabinoid associated with “restful effects,” according to the brand. Camino Midnight Blueberry gummies contain 5 mg of THC and 1 mg of CBN and are now available in retail for $18.
O'MY
Dairy-free gelato maker O’MY released two lower sugar pints in I Love Chocolate and Cake Walk. Each contains 2 grams of sugar per serving, and is sweetened with allulose.
RXBAR
The latest flavor launch from RXBAR is Chocolate Raspberry, available in limited edition Valentine’s Day packaging at select Whole Foods locations. The brand also rolled out RXBAR Minis this month in Coconut Chocolate and Blueberry flavors, available at Costco in 24-count and 40-count variety packs.
Ozery Family Bakery
Bread maker Ozery Family Bakery launched Moroccan-Style Frena Buns, pre-sliced vegan buns with 7 grams of protein and 1 gram of fiber.
Pacific Foods
Pacific Foods added two new flavors to its line of shelf-stable Organic Chicken Bone Broths: Chamomile & Lavender and Turmeric, Ginger & Black Pepper. The brand also rolled out its Original Chicken Bone Broth in a variety lightly seasoned with sea salt. All three products have hit shelves at natural and conventional retailers nationwide.
Diestel
Diestel Family Ranch rolled out two heat-and-serve Sous-Vide Turkey Meatloafs, an antibiotic-free meals solution available in Traditional and Florentine flavors.
Simply Gum
Simply Gum launched Awaken Gum, which blends peppermint and matcha. Containing 180 mg of caffeine per pack, the new gum is now available on the brand’s website for $19.99 per 6-pack.
Orgain
Orgain launched a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup flavor of its Simple Organic Plant Based Protein Powder exclusively at Costco this month. The powder contains 20 grams of plant-based protein from almonds, peanuts, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and golden peas.
SkinnyDipped Almonds
The latest flavor launches from SkinnyDipped Almond are Super Dark + Sea Salt and Lemon Bliss, available at Target stores nationwide. Each3.5 oz. pouches has a suggested retail price of $4.49.
Soup Explorers
Clarity Food Ventures announced the launch of Soup Explorers, a line of premium refrigerated soup kits in four globally inspired varieties, now available at select Chicago-area retailers. Each soup kit contains broth, cooked proteins and noodles, alongside vegetables and herbs.
Tillamook
Dairy brand Tillamook released a line of sharp white cheddar-based Farmstyle Cream Cheese Spreads in Original, Aged Cheddar, Very Veggie and Seriously Strawberry flavors. The new spreads can be found in retailers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, Texas and Washington.
Ben & Jerry's
The latest flavors of Ben & Jerry’s snackable cookie dough chunks launched this month: Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Half Baked Chunks. Sold at retailers and select Scoop Shops nationwide, the line has a suggested retail price of $3.99-$5.49 per 8 oz. bag.
Wake N Bagel
Oregon-based brand Wake N Bagel rolled out a thaw-and-bake frozen line of bagels made with organic flours and grains in Onion, Plain and Hiker (Everything) flavors.
Wholly Veggies
Canadian brand Wholly Veggie rolled out a new line of vegan appetizers including Buffalo Cauliflower Wings, Ranch Cauliflower Wings and Kung Pao Broccoli Wings. The frozen appetizers are rolling out regionally, first launching at Gelson’s Markets in Southern California and Berkeley Bowl in Northern California.
