Summer has arrived and with it has come a selection of new convenient snack options, from fruit jerky to nut butter bites, along with new plant-based meal options such as a flavored rice alternative line from Banza and a new plant-based Upton’s hot dog for summer grilling. The latest flavor launch from DTC text-to-order energy bar brand Verb is Lemon Raspberry, developed in collaboration with Nick DiGiovanni, the youngest-ever MasterChef finalist. The limited edition flavor can be purchased in pouches of 12 for $18 per one-time order or at the discounted price of $16 for members of Verb Flex, Verb’s text-based subscription offering.

To celebrate Pride Month, frozen dessert brand Coolhaus launched EnjoyMINT for All, combining a dairy-free peppermint base with chocolate cookie crumbs and a purple marshmallow swirl. The flavor is available now exclusively at National Co+op Grocers nationwide for $6.49 per pint.

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, Abby’s Better Nut Butter released a new four-SKU line of Nut Butter bites featuring two Protein SKUs containing added protein from pea protein. The Nut Butter Bites are sold for $12.99 for a three-pack of a single flavor or $16.99 for a four-pack sampler of the four current flavors: Apple Cinnamon Walnut, Brownie Walnut, Coconut Cashew Protein and Vanilla Cashew Protein.

For the second year, Bobo’s celebrated Pride Month with its limited-edition Lemon Poppyseed Pride Bar in a new national partnership with PFLAG National, and continued partnership with local Colorado non-profit The Center on Colfax. The bar is also available online in 6-packs for $14.94 all year round, with 100% of proceeds helping to provide critical resources and support to LGBTQ+ individuals and families.

The all-natural frozen seasoning is sold in 2.5 oz. packages of 16 cubes at a suggested retail price of $2.99 and will first debut in the freezer sections at Stew Leonard’s and Best Market.

Better-for-you confection brand Lily’s rolled out new baking chips in White Chocolate and Chocolate Salted Caramel flavors, available now at Whole Foods and launching in Kroger in August for $6.99 per 9 oz. bag. The brand also announced new miniature 0.7 oz chocolate bars in Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate and Extra Dark Chocolate flavors, which will hit shelves by next year.

Kashi added two new superfood cereals to its Kashi by Kids line containing four grams of protein, low amounts of added sugar and “superfood” ingredients such as berries, lentils and cocoa. The new cereals will be available nationwide in Chocolate and Berry flavors at Walmart, Amazon, Ahold, Jewel and Hannaford.
