Bono USA Launches Specialty Italian Pasta Sauces
Bono USA, Sicily’s largest extra virgin olive oil producer, is excited to announce the launch of its first line of Italian Pasta Sauces, available in seven varieties, offering a truly authentic taste of Italy. With this offering, Bono further solidifies its commitment to providing the U.S. market with high-quality and beloved Italian products.
Bono’s pasta sauces are made using 100% Italian ingredients including tomatoes from the Parma Food Valley – an area renowned for producing some of the world’s best tomatoes – extra virgin olive oil, and aromatic herbs. The sauces are slow-cooked in small batches with fresh ingredients, lending to a higher quality end result.
“It’s hard to imagine Italian food without tomato sauce, and each sauce from Bono is carefully crafted to capture the essence of traditional Italian cuisine,” said President and CEO of Bono USA, Salvatore Russo-Tiesi. “The sauces complement our line of authentic, regional, and traceable Italian food products. This addition aligns with our goal of providing a complete selection of the highest quality ingredients to make the most authentic Italian meals.”
Bono’s Italian Pasta Sauces are available in the following varieties:
- Marinara: The classic Italian tomato sauce, perfect for pasta, meatballs, and more.
- Tomato & Basil: A simple yet flavorful combination of sweet Italian tomatoes with fragrant basil.
- Roasted Garlic: Aromatic roasted garlic adds dimension to the classic marinara sauce.
- Ricotta: Authentic Sicilian ricotta made with organic and natural Sicilian ingredients.
- Arrabbiata: Arrabbiata or “angry” sauce is a spicy, yet balanced sauce made with slow-simmered Italian tomatoes and red pepper.
- Alla Vodka: Creamy and vibrant, tomato-based, and vodka-infused sauce that’s seasoned with herbs, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Pecorino Romano cheese.
- Truffle: Bono’s delicious marinara sauce flavored with black summer truffles for a rich, umami flavor.
The tomatoes for the sauces are grown and harvested in the Parma Food Valley, where the well-drained soils give the tomatoes a unique, very sweet, and delicate taste. From there, the sauce is then exported to the United States for distribution from the company’s new 21,700-square-foot facility in Landing, NJ. The sauces come in 24 oz jars and have a suggested retail price of $7.99 and $9.99 for the Truffle and Alla Vodka varieties. All are available nationwide through regional grocers such as Bristol Farms, The Fresh Market, Balducci’s, Kings, The Giant Company, and more.
Bono’s multi-award-winning extra virgin olive oils, table olives, organic fruit marmalades, and peppers are available in specialty stores and leading grocery chains in all 50 states. Retail accounts include Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, Kings, Balducci’s, and Stop & Shop, among others. Products are also available on Amazon.
