This Week’s New Products: Collabs From Fly By Jing and Spicewalla; A Royal Regenerative Flour
This week’s New Product Gallery reads something like a superhero team-up comic, thanks to a couple of eye-catching co-branded releases from the likes of Blue Circle Foods & Spicewalla, and plant-based meat specialists Daring & Fly By Jing. Plus, Sweet Loren’s first foray into breakfast and new items from Siete, King Arthur, Hippeas and more.

King Arthur Baking Co.
Despite over 200 years in the business of baking, King Arthur continues to innovate, this time with the launch of its certified Regeneratively Grown Climate Blend Flour. Created in collaboration with the Washington State University Breadlab, Climate Blend can be used in any recipe that calls for whole wheat flour and is now available exclusively at Whole Foods Market stores nationwide, as well as at King Arthur’s website ($5.95 per 32 oz. bag).

Siete
Fans of clean-label grain-free Mexican foods brand Siete will have extra reasons to celebrate this holiday season with the launch of three new products, starting with cinnamon-sugary treat Mini Buñuelos (SRP: $5.19 – $5.49). The brand is also debuting a dairy-free cajeta caramel sauce ($18-20 per 2-pack) and a better-for-you, dairy-free Mexican hot chocolate ($30 for a 2-pack, 12 servings per pack).

Blue Circle Foods x Spicewalla
Sustainable seafood brand Blue Circle Foods is teaming Spicewalla to introduce Chili Lime Salmon Shorties – mini 1.5″ salmon sausages that “bring a retro vibe to an appetizer spread.” The product is now available at bluecirclefoods.com for $12 and at Pop-Up Grocer in New York City for $6.

Birdy’s Provisions
New England-based small-batch mustard maker Birdy’s has launched its third variety, Spicy Yellow Mustard, on sale now online for $9 per 6 oz. jar.

Lesley Stowe
Washington-based snack maker Lesley Stowe is growing its range of gourmet Raincoast Crisps with new gluten-free, almond flour-based versions of two varieties: Salty Date (a recent Good Housekeeping 2023 Best Snack Award winner) and Rosemary Raisin. Both are available now for an average suggested retail price of $7.49 per 5.3 oz. box.

Laird
Combining freeze-dried coffee (~104 mg caffeine) and its mushroom-powered Peppermint Mocha Superfood Creamer into a single convenient package, Laird is introducing Peppermint Mocha Instant Latte with Adaptogens, available in an 8 oz. bag for $19 on the brand’s website.

Sweet Loren’s
Natural cookie dough brand Sweet Loren’s continues to extend its platform into new categories with the launch of gluten-free Breakfast Biscuits in three varieties: Blueberry, Cinnamon Sugar, and Chocolate. Each biscuit has 19 grams of whole grains, 4 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber per serving. The line is available in the cookie aisle at Whole Foods Market nationwide and will be on Amazon later this year.

Hippeas
Hoping to continue its hot streak of hits (The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Minions), animation studio Illumination is set to release the new film Migration this holiday season, for which they’ve teamed with snack maker Hippeas on a limited edition 6-pack of 0.8 ounce bags in Vegan White Cheddar. The packs will be available starting in December at select retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods, Sprouts and Kroger.

Daring x Fly By Jing
Two things caught our eye when we saw yesterday’s press release on the launch of Daring’s frozen entrees: first, didn’t this happen back in March? And second, when did Fly By Jing get involved? The trendy Asian condiment maker has apparently teamed with the plant-based meat brand on a co-branded, Fried Rice Plant Chicken Bowl exclusively for Target that features its Sichuan Chili Crisp in a starring role. The frozen bowl, clocking in at 18 grams of protein per bowl (400 calories), is listed on Target’s website now for $7.69 per unit.
