Pasta Garofalo Launches High Protein Pasta in the U.S. Market
New York – Pasta Garofalo, a leader in premium Italian pasta for over two centuries, is introducing its latest innovation to the U.S.: a High Protein pasta that delivers exceptional nutritional benefits without compromising authentic Italian flavor.
Crafted entirely in Gragnano, Italy – the birthplace of pasta – Garofalo sources its premium durum wheat from leading Italian suppliers who use advanced milling techniques to preserve the grain's natural goodness. The result is a pasta that's high in protein, fiber, and essential minerals like zinc, iron, magnesium, and potassium, all while maintaining Garofalo's signature taste and texture.
"In a market flooded with pasta substitutes and confusing health trends, we wanted to break through the noise with a high-protein pasta made simply from premium durum wheat semolina," said Anita Menna, Brand Manager of Pasta Garofalo. "This line not only delivers the nutritional benefits consumers are seeking but also stays true to our Italian heritage of craftsmanship and flavor. We're excited for Americans to taste the difference and enjoy a pasta that supports both their health and love of traditional Italian cuisine!"
Each serving of Garofalo High Protein pasta contains 19g of protein per 3.5oz serving, featuring 50% more fiber than whole wheat pasta, and a lower glycemic index. It supports digestion, energy, and satiety, and is naturally low in gluten. The pasta is also free from eggs, nuts, dairy, and common allergens, making it a versatile and inclusive option suitable for a wide range of dietary needs.
The High Protein line will be showcased at the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon Expo on October 30 – November 1, giving attendees a first look at these high-protein pasta varieties. High Protein Spaghetti and Penne Rigate are available now on Amazon and will roll out across U.S. shelves in November, followed by Fusilli and Mafalda Corta in early 2026.
