Distribution: Brami Bulks Up For Costco; MUSH Rolls Into Walmart

Brami Bulks Up For Costco

Brami is launching its collection of Italian Protein Pasta in six Costco regions beginning this month through October.

The brand will debut a redesigned look and exclusive club pack featuring two boxes each of Fusilli and Curly Mac, crafted in Molise, Italy, with premium durum wheat semolina and whole-milled lupini bean flour. The club pack, which retails for $10.79, will be available in markets spanning the Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Midwest and Texas.

Brami Italian Protein Pasta contains 60% more protein and three times the fiber content of conventional pasta, according to the brand. The expansion into Costco nearly doubles its retail footprint year over year.

“This is a major milestone for Brami,” Aaron Gatti, founder and CEO of Brami, said in a statement. “Very few emerging brands are invited to launch in this many Costco regions during their first rotation. It’s a strong vote of confidence in what we’re building.

Brami is planning a multi-city roadshow this fall in New York, Chicago, San Diego, Atlanta and other key cities to support the launch and engage with Costco shoppers.

MUSH Rolls Into Walmart

MUSH is charting its first-ever expansion into Walmart, hitting shelves in roughly 400 locations across the country.

The brand will offer a selection of high-protein overnight oats in flavors including, French Vanilla, Chocolate Brownie, Cookies & Cream and Peanut Butter. Formulated with a few simple ingredients, including rolled oats, dates, nuts and milk protein isolate, the products deliver 15 grams of protein per serving.

Pop Secret Pops into Kroger

The secret is out! Pop Secret, which was scooped up by Our Home last year, has landed its new ready-to-eat popcorn in Kroger stores nationwide.

The supermarket chain will carry the brand’s Movie Theater Butter and Double Cheddar varieties, which have a SRP of $2.99 per 5.5 oz. bag. The new format was previewed at the Sweets & Snack Expo in May and first entered retail with a Sam’s Club rollout in June.

“Pop Secret has always been about bold flavor and buttery nostalgia, and now we’re bringing that experience to snack aisles in a new way. It’s a natural next step in our commitment to meeting people’s snacking needs with convenience, creativity and the quality they expect from Our Home brands,” said Deb Holt, president of commercial and go-to-market at Our Home, in a press release.

immi Deepens Partnership With Whole Foods

Noodle maker immi is introducing its ramen-ready Veggie Topping Mix at Whole Foods Market stores nationwide. The product features a blend of cabbage, carrots, tofu, mushrooms, chives and corn created to add crunch, flavor and nutrition to meals.

According to immi co-founder Kevin Lee, the product has “been flying off our shelves online” since launching last year.

The move marks an extension of the brand’s partnership with the retailer, which already sells its heat-and-eat ramen cups and packets nationwide in varieties including Spicy “Beef,” Tom Yum “Shrimp” and Creamy “Chicken” Noodle.

Momofuku Heads to Costco

After cooking up a nearly $30 million investment in June, Momofuku is headed to Costco, where its Chili Crunch will be available in an exclusive 16 oz. jar – nearly triple the size of the brand’s regular jar.

Dubbed “XL Chili Crunch,” the new offering is available at Costco stores across the Southeast, Northeast, Northwest, San Diego and Texas regions with a SRP of $16.99.

PORTA Brings Roman-style Pizzas To The Fresh Market

PORTA is expanding the physical store footprint of its frozen Roman-style pizzas through an agreement to distribute its Sausage & Caramelized Onion and Mushroom & Fontina varieties to all The Fresh Market stores.

The pizzas are handmade using Italian ingredients and traditional techniques, then flash-frozen “to deliver restaurant-quality flavor at home in just minutes,” according to the brand. The products feature flour from a fourth-generation family-run mill in Le Marche, San Marzano tomatoes from Campania and Coratina Extra Virgin Olive Oil made in Puglia.

Beyond The Fresh Market, PORTA’s pizzas are available at a wide range of retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Sobey’s and Costco, among others.
