Organic foods brand Bearded Brothers has acquired fellow bar maker SANS Meal Bar, SANS founder and CEO Nathan Gordon announced on LinkedIn Friday.

Gordon has stepped down as CEO of the business but will remain with the company as an advisor.

“I could not have found a better partner than [Bearded Brothers president] Nick Meyer, who will be leading the brand going forward,” Gordon wrote. “I will continue to be involved as an advisor and we are excited to be back in stock in mid-July.”

“I admire what you and your team have built,” Meyer wrote in response to the post. “I’m honored to help carry it forward and grateful for the opportunity to partner. Excited to work with you on what’s ahead!”

Founded in 2018, SANS makes meal replacement bars available in six varieties with no added sugars or natural flavors: Peanut Butter Cacao, PB&J, Coconut Almond Butter, Mint Cacao, Peanut Butter Lovers and Chocolate Lovers.

The brand received funding from capital firm JMC Investment in 2021.

Bearded Brothers was founded in 2011 and offers a variety of functional bars, including Energy and Protein lines under the Bearded Brothers name as well as the indulgent, organic Yumster Yo! Bar brand.

Additional details on the deal were not immediately available this morning. Nosh has reached out to Gordon and Bearded Brothers for additional comment.
