New Products: Fly By Jing’s Chengdu Crunch, NotCo’s Collab With Yellowbird
In this week’s notable new products roundup, Bubbies announces the return of three seasonal flavors, NotCo teams up with hot sauce maker YellowBird and Loisa grows its Sofrito line.
Fly By Jing
Fly By Jing has unveiled its newest innovation, Chengdu Crunch. The new chili condiment contains fava beans, yellow split peas, soybeans, pumpkin seeds, sesame, and sunflower seeds. Fly By Jing’s Chengdu Crunch is slightly less spicy than the brand’s Sichuan Chili Crisp and is designed to top everything from rice bowls to soup to quesadillas. The new offering is available via the brand’s website for $17 per 6 oz. jar.
Bubbies
Mochi ice cream brand Bubbies has announced the return of three limited edition, holiday-inspired flavors: Gingerbread, Red Velvet and Peppermint Candy. Like the rest of the brand’s offerings, the seasonal flavors feature ice cream wrapped in pillowy-soft mochi dough. Bubbie’s holiday flavors can be found on the brand’s website and at retailers such as H-E-B and Albertsons (NorCal).
NotCo x Yellowbird
Food tech company NotCo has partnered with hot sauce maker Yellowbird to launch its newest product, NotChicken Spicy Patties. Available at select Whole Foods Market locations nationwide in 12 oz. 4-packs, the alt-meat product combines NotCo’s signature NotChicken Patties with Yellowbird’s Spicy Habanero hot sauce, which has a base of habaneros, carrots, garlic and tangerine.
Volcanica
Volcanica, an online specialty coffee retailer, has announced its Burundi Coffee Collection featuring fruit flavor notes. The collection features three varieties – Burundi Ninga Long Miles Coffee, Burundi Gishubi Long Miles Coffee and Burundi Nkonge Long Miles Coffee – which are available in individual 16 oz. bags for a SRP of $49.99 to $69.99.
Evolved
Evolved Chocolate has announced the launch of two new bar flavors, Almond Butter and Cashew Butter. The former contains just 1 gram of sugar per serving and is sweetened with pure organic monk fruit. The latter consists of 72% cacao and is sweetened with organic coconut sugar. Both varieties are available via the brand’s website for $20 per 4-pack of 2.5 oz. bars.
La Panzanella
La Panzanella’s flatbread crackers – which include Rosemary, Original Sea Salt and Roasted Garlic varieties – have been reformulated to include 100% olive oil instead of a blend of oils. In conjunction with the reformulation, the brand has rolled out revamped packaging with cleaner graphics and an EVOO callout. Pricing will remain unchanged, with a SRP of $5.50 per 6 oz. container.
Wildway
San Antonio-based Wildway has introduced its newest line of products, Planet Friendly Oats. Available in four flavors – Original, Raspberry Chia, Maple Coconut Sugar and Banana Nut – the oats are made in partnership with regenerative farmers around the world who use practices that heal the soil and foster diversity. The Wildway Plant Friendly Oats line is now available online and at Whole Foods Market in the Northeast and Southern California.
Loisa
Loisa has grown its Sofrito line with the addition of Rojo and Recaito varieties. Sofrito Rojo is inspired by Spanish-style Sofrito and made with tomatoes, olives and capers while Sofrito Recaito is inspired by Puerto Rican cooking and features culantro, cilantro and garlic. Both flavors are available via the brand’s website for $24 per 2-pack of 12 oz. jars.
Zack’s Mighty
Tortilla chip brand Zack’s Mighty has dropped a new product line, ROLLED. Available in two flavors at launch – Fiery Nacho and Chile Lime – the rolled tortilla chips are made with yellow and white corn and expeller pressed vegetable oil. Zack’s ROLLED tortilla chips are available at retailers nationwide such as Whole Foods Market and The Fresh Market for a SRP of $4.99 per 7 oz. bag.
