5 Notable New Snack Bars

As the bar category continues to gain momentum among consumers, many brands are making their first foray into the space. In this roundup, we spotlight news from around the category, including Dave’s Killer Bread rolling out its new organic snack bars nationwide, Bobo’s introducing its protein bars at Winter Fancy Food Show 2023 and Tattooed Chef expanding its portfolio with oat butter bars.

Dave’s Killer Bread

After first hitting store shelves in two test markets last year, Dave’s Killer Bread Organic Snack Bars are now rolling out nationwide. Available in three flavors – Coca Brownie Blitz, Trail Mix Crumble and Oat-Rageous Honey Almond – the bars contain 16 grams, 19 grams and 22 grams of whole grains, respectively.

Tattooed Chef

Frozen plant-based food company Tattooed Chef expanded its portfolio with the launch of Oat Butter Bars in Chocolate Chip, Brownie, Peanut and Graham varieties. Each bar has 12 to 14 grams of plant-based protein depending on the variety and contains no added sugars. Tattooed Chef Oat Butter Bars are available for $2.99 each at select retailers including Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Nugget Markets and Central Market.

RXBAR

RXBAR has unveiled its newest flavor addition, Strawberry. Each 1.83 oz. bar is formulated with three egg bites, six almonds, four cashews and two dates and packs 12 grams of protein. RXBAR Strawberry is available online for $27.99 per 12-pack.

Blake’s Seed Based

Blake’s Seed Based announced the launch of its newest product line, Chewy Granola Bars. Available in three flavors at launch – Chocolate Chip, Birthday Cake and Apple Cinnamon – the bars all contain 120 calories. The Chocolate Chip and Birthday Cake varieties are dipped in chocolate and white chocolate, respectively. Blake’s Seed Based Chewy Granola Bars are now available online for $23.99 per 24-pack.

Bobo’s

Bobo’s made its first foray into the protein bar set with two new SKUs, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Bar and Double Chocolate Almond Butter Protein Bar. Both varieties, which made their debut at Winter Fancy Food Show 2023, pack 15g of plant-based protein and are available online for $29.88 per 12-pack.
