8 More New Products To Check Out At Expo West

Exhibitors at this year’s show are bringing plenty of better-for-you foods to Anaheim ranging from new plant-based meat and dairy products to alternative grain innovations. Here are eight new foods, reformulations and total rebrands to look for at Expo West.

Sana

Better-for-you tortilla maker Sana will unveil its latest innovation: a ​​grain-free, plant-based, gluten-free, paleo-friendly and organic Street Taco Tortilla. The 4-inch tortilla is made with a blend of coconut flour and cassava and contains 8 grams of fiber per serving. Sana’s Street Taco Tortillas are available at Sprouts Farmers Market locations nationwide.

The Greater Knead

Allergy-friendly bakery brand The Greater Knead has expanded its portfolio of bagels, flour, and bagel chips with the addition of a line of soft pretzel nuggets in Classic, Everything, Cinnamon Sugar and Spicy Buffalo flavors. The new pretzels are sold frozen and can be prepared in an oven or airfryer in less than 10 minutes. The Greater Knead’s soft pretzel nuggets are available at select retailers in the Northeast for a suggested retail price of $7.99 per 4.9 oz. pack.

RightRice

Legume-based rice alternative brand RightRight is adding three new flavors including Mediterranean, Roasted Garlic Risotto and Smokey Southwest to its lineup of vegetable-based rice grains. The Mediterranean variety features thyme, basil and lemon and the new Risotto is made with caramelized garlic and spices. RightRice’s new flavors will be available at Whole Foods locations nationwide.

Daiya

Dairy-free cheese maker Daiya introduced its Italian 4 Cheeze Style Blend. The new variety is dairy-free, soy-free and gluten-free and is made with a combination of the brand’s thinly shredded Parmesan, Mozzarella, Provolone and Asiago cheese alternatives. Daiya’s Italian 4 Cheeze Style Blend is available online for a suggested retail price of $5.49.

YumEarth

Allergy-friendly candy brand YumEarth will be exhibiting its upcoming Coco Yums! product along with its Ultimate line, which are both set to roll out this summer. The new dairy-free chocolate candies come in Choco Yums, Choco Yums Quinoa and Choco Yums Dark Chocolate Mint varieties while the Ultimate line features elderberry pops and lemon ginger chews. YumEarth’s new candies will be available at select retailers and online.

NotCo

Food-tech company NotCo has expanded into the plant-based meat segment with the launch of NotBurger. The burger originally launched in Latin American markets and will roll out to select regions across the U.S. this spring. NotBurger will be available in the frozen section of select retailers in 4 oz. single-packs and 16 oz. four-packs.

Van Leeuwen

Brooklyn-based ice cream maker Van Leeuwen’s will unveil its revamped vegan ice cream packaging at the show. The new package features the bright colored pints already used for its conventional line and includes repeated vegan callouts across the pack versus the all white, minimalist style pints it previously used.

Marimix

Better-for-you snack maker Marimix is relaunching its plant-based, gluten-free Crunch-Baked Snackmix with a new, clean-label formula and upgraded packaging at the show. The line features whole-grain puffs, petite pretzels and toasted quinoa mixed together in a range of flavors including Cinnamon Churro, Toasty Peanut Butter, Chocolate Sea Salt, Hatch Chili Lime, Sweet Chili Sesame and Smoky Maple BBQ. Marimix’s new Crunch-Baked Snackmix is available for a suggested retail price of $5.79 per 4 oz. bag.
