The complete lineup of presentations from NOSH Live Summer 2019 is now available to watch on the NOSH YouTube channel.

Last month hundreds of natural food industry founders and executives came together in New York City to fuel the growth of their businesses through new insights and partnerships. Driving the conversations forward were a diverse group of all-stars who took the stage to present their perspectives and insights on the evolving industry.

The opening day of NOSH Live detailed how to build brands with purpose. Walter Robb, the former co-CEO of Whole Foods Market and current principal of Stonewall Robb Advisors, kicked off the discussions, focusing on technology’s impact on retail and how brands should be prioritizing “authenticity, vulnerability and humility” to resonate with customers. Later, Arthur Sevilla from Pinterest shared ways brands can use its social media platform to reach inspired consumers in a personalized and authentic way. For the full picture, the day’s program also detailed investment strategies from big strategics like Nestle to smaller VC firms like Harbinger Ventures, and how emerging brands like CAULIPOWER continue to grow while staying true to their mission.

To take the business discussions to the next level, day two of NOSH Live focused on leadership and communication. Co-founders and CEOs from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Lily’s Sweets, Tofurky and Bobo’s shared their experiences growing these dynamic brands, providing ways leaders can embrace and overcome change, take strategic risks, and be financially sound. Speakers from Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, also detailed their plan to bring healthy and innovative foods to the masses by opening store doors to startups and early-stage brands. To expand on the retail discussion, top brokers from Presence Marketing, KMG Group and Team Direct Management weighed in on the state of retailing and what brands can expect for the future.

On day two the NOSH Live Pitch Slam 6, presented by 301 Inc., also took place on the main stage. Six promising food brands — SMPL, Beckon, Cheddies Crackers, Crafty Counter Wundernuggets and Prayani — presented their business pitches to a panel of expert judges and the audience for a chance to win a prize valued at $10,000. Beckon, a line of lactose-free premium dairy ice cream, took away the win and industry bragging rights. All final Pitch Slam presentations are also available to view on the NOSH YouTube channel.
