QUEENS, N.Y.— Burlap & Barrel, a leading purveyor of single origin spices sourced directly from smallholder farmers around the world, is launching three new salt-free blends in collaboration with the NYC-based medically tailored meal provider God’s Love We Deliver.
Burlap & Barrel is a longtime supplier of spices to God’s Love We Deliver, a food and nutrition non-profit that cooks and home-delivers delicious, individually tailored meals for New Yorkers living with severe and chronic illness. For this collaboration, they worked with the God’s Love We Deliver chefs to develop three blends to be used in their clients’ meals to enhance flavor, regardless of dietary restrictions. Versatile, zesty Herbs & Sumac works as a finishing spice or for roasting chicken or vegetables. Savory Smoke & Garlic brings a deep kick of flavor to stews and rubs. And naturally sweet Cocoa & Spice is comforting and cozy.

God’s Love We Deliver cooks and home-delivers nutritious, medically tailored meals for people too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Founded in 1985 as a response to the AIDS pandemic, God’s Love now serves people living with more than 200 different diagnoses.
