Notable New Products: Justin’s Snack Mix & Klatch Limited Edition Varietal Coffee

In this week’s new products roundup, Momofuku launches new noodle SKUs, Harvest Snaps gets spicy and Justin’s hits the trail with a dark chocolate nut mix.

Aquamar Seafood Tenders

Wild caught seafood brand Aquamar wants to make seafood more convenient, launching a line of ready-to-eat Seafood Tenders in four varieties: smoked salmon, cod, crab and smoked haddock. The 8-piece refrigerated products are fully cooked and come in 6 oz. packages.

Vân Vân

Vietnamese importer and purveyors Thảo Bùi and Duy Võ launched their single-origin spice and herb brand Vân Vân (meaning “etcetera” in Vietnamese) this week. The company hopes to raise awareness of traditional while supporting Vietnamese farmers. At launch, Vân Vân sells five dried spices and herbs (Delta Lemongrass, Sparrow Ginger, Heaven-Facing Chili, Coastal Purple Shallots and Northern Mountain Garlic), in pouches with a price point between $8 to $11 each.

Harvest Snaps

Puffed snack maker Harvest Snaps released Hot & Spicy Crunchy Loops on Walmart.com and Target.com, with a rollout in select Target and Walmart locations planned for next month. The gluten-free, red lentil-based puffed hoops are available in 4.5 oz. bags for SRP $2.49 and pack 4g protein per 1 oz. serving.

Justin’s

Nut butter and confection company Justin’s is taking a step further into the snacking category with a new trail mix aimed at the club channel. The Dark Chocolate Nutty Cone Mini Peanut Butter Cup Mix features mini dark chocolate peanut butter cups with dry roasted peanuts, almonds, dark chocolate peanut candy pieces, white chocolate covered cocoa dusted peanuts and bits of rice flour waffle cone. The new product will hit Northeast Costcos this September in 18 oz. bags for $10.99.

Momofuku

For the first time in two years, Momofuku Goods is new noodle SKUs, launching two new varieties: Spicy Chili Noodles and Sweet & Spicy Noodles. Both flavors are now available on the company website for $13 per 16.75 oz. bag while Sweet & Spicy will launch in Whole Foods Market in September.

Klatch

To celebrate its 30 years in business, Klatch Coffee is releasing a limited edition Pearl Reserve line of coffee, with blends utilizing rare coffee varietals from Central America. The thirteen blends will progressively launch throughout August and September as the beans are roasted. To kick things off, this past week the company released Panama Esmeralda Reina Geisha Washed ($89.95) and El Salvador Jasal Orange Geisha Anaerobic Natural ($19.95) blends.

Rishi Tea

Starting August 22, Rishi Tea & Botanicals will have four new tea blends: Bergamot Rose, Cinnamon Tulsi, Green Mountain and Pink Lemon Ginger. All four will be available in sachet boxes for SRP $11 on Amazon and select retailers, with Whole Foods exclusively offering the Bergamot Rose.
