Notable New Products: Glass Onion Ice Cream & TiNDLE Tenders

In this week’s roundup of new products, Van Leeuwen pays homage to Netflix’s newly released movie Glass Onion, Aplenty unveils two new holiday treats and TiNDLE brings plant-based chicken tenders to foodservice.

Van Leeuwen

Time to the premier of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Van Leeuwen teamed up with the film’s producer, Netflix, to launch a co-branded flavor.The new offering features the brand’s signature vanilla ice cream, greek yogurt, honeycomb candy and caramelized onion jam. Van Leeuwen x Glass Onion is available online and at Van Leeuwen locations in NYC and LA.

Yasso

Frozen snack maker Yasso rolled out a redesign of its Poppables frozen snacks. Available in three flavors – Coffee, Sea Salt Caramel and Vanilla Bean – the line has been reimagined as bite-sized treats featuring frozen greek yogurt coated in dark chocolate. Now sold in resealable bags, each package contains 11-12 poppables each. The refreshed Yasso Poppables will be available at retailers nationwide for $6.49 per bag in the new year.

WholeSome Bar

WholeSome Bar expanded its U.S. market lineup with two new flavors: Chocolate Peanut Butter Crisp and Peanut Butter Crunch. The former is made with organic peanuts, an organic seed blend, pea crisps and chocolate while the latter is crafted with organic peanuts, organic coconut nectar and peanut butter chips. Both new offerings are available online for $27.99 per 8-pack or available in select retailers nationwide.

TiNDLE

As part of an effort to focus on foodservice as a launch platform, plant-based chicken maker TiNDLE expanded its pre-breaded range with the debut of TiNDLE Tenders. The tenders are ready to serve in less than five minutes and join the company’s nuggets and sandwich patties.

Aplenty

Just in time for the holiday season, Amazon released new Chocolate Peppermint Granola and Decadent Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix under its Aplenty brand. The granola features oats, whole almonds, mini chocolate chips, brown rice crisps, seeds and peppermint oil. Both products are available online through Amazon Fresh.

Siggi’s

Icelandic skyr brand Siggi’s announced the launch of its new product line, Rich & Creamy Skyr. Available in three flavors at launch – Zesty Lemon, Vanilla Honey and Ripe Cherry – the whole milk yogurt packs 10 grams of protein per 4 oz. cup. Siggi’s Rich & Creamy Skyr is available at select retailers nationwide.

North Coast Seafoods

North Coast Seafoods is adding several new products to its packaged Naked Seafood Collection, including: Raw and Peeled Cooked Shrimp, Organic PEI Mussels, Garlic Butter PEI Mussels, Scottish Smoked Salmon and New York Nova Lox Smoked Salmon. The new products will be available beginning in January.
