YUZU Partners with Chubby Group to Debut Limited-Edition Yuzu Cosmopolitan and Holiday Campaign for Gen Z Asian Singles
YUZU, the vibrant dating app designed for the Asian community, is partnering with Chubby Group, the hospitality collective behind Niku X, Chubby Cattle, and The X Pot, on a holiday campaign that brings online sparks into real-life connection. The centerpiece is a co-branded, seasonal beverage, the Yuzu Cosmopolitan, served across select Chubby Group locations, alongside broader programming that includes a three-part holiday sitcom series, immersive launch screenings, influencer Friendsgiving dinners, and co-branded gifting.
Available October 23 to December 15, the Yuzu Cosmopolitan (gooseberry, strawberry, shiso, gold lemon wheel garnish) will be served at Niku X (New York City & Los Angeles), The X Pot (Las Vegas), and Wagyu House (Atlanta), with a non-alcoholic option available. Through an exclusive integration, YUZU users can redeem the drink for free via the Chubby Club app, turning on-app matches into IRL meetups, one toast at a time.
“Chubby Group has always been about creating spaces where culture and cuisine spark joy,” said April Li, VP of Marketing at Chubby Group. “With the Yuzu Cosmopolitan, our partnership with YUZU turns that spirit into a toast—an inviting, seasonal way for people to meet up, share a meal, and start the kind of holiday stories that become traditions.
YUZU and Chubby Group will also release a three-part holiday sitcom series premiering November 4. Inspired by Gen Z’s dating quirks and Asian-coded humor, each episode explores the intersections of love, friendship, and food: Episode 1, “Cuffing Up” (November 4) follows a YUZU match that blossoms into a first date at the park; Episode 2, “Friendsgiving, But Make It Extra” (Nov 13) finds holiday chaos rescued by a Chubby Group feast and the crew meets the new girl; and Episode 3, “Holidays with the Little Red Box” (Dec) brings chosen family and returning couples together for a warm winter gathering, along with a mystery little red box.
The campaign debuts with watch-party screenings in Los Angeles and New York City, where guests will sip the Yuzu Cosmopolitan, enjoy Chubby Group dishes, preview mini-episodes, and mingle with the cast and creators. The Los Angeles premiere for the trailer will take place on October 23, 2025 at Niku X, Los Angeles (900 Wilshire Blvd Ste 212, Los Angeles, CA). The New York City screening for Episode 2 will follow on November 13, 2025 at Niku X, Midtown Manhattan (21 W 35th St, New York, NY).
Throughout November, YUZU and Chubby Group will invite 10 influencers to host Friendsgiving dinners across NYC and LA. These intimate gatherings spotlight Chubby Group’s food and the Yuzu Cosmopolitan, while giving Asian creators space to connect offline, share stories, and create content that sparks conversations about friendship, dating, and community—both IRL and online.
To extend the campaign beyond the table, YUZU and Chubby Group will distribute 200 co-branded “Cuffing Season Starter Kits” to press, creators, and community partners. Each kit includes a co-branded long-sleeve jersey, Yuzu-scented candle, sticker pack, a drink redemption card, and a 1-year Chubby membership. YUZU and Chubby Group will also host a social media giveaway, offering the kits to the general public.
In a recent YUZU survey, 80% of Gen Z Asian singles said restaurants are their preferred first-date setting, affirming that food, place, and shared experiences still matter. “This campaign is a love letter to how our community dates, eats, and celebrates together,” said Cindy Lim, Head of Brand for YUZU. “Cuffing season is about finding warmth in connection, and our partnership with Chubby Group makes that tangible, from stories on-screen to the shared meals that bring people together in real life.”
