Coro Foods Launches in Publix, Kroger and Fresh Thyme Expanding Availability Nationwide: Pacific Northwest Charcuterie Brand Will Reach 2500 Doors by 2026
KENT, WA - Coro Foods, an award winning, women-owned salami brand known for their inventive flavors and premium quality, continues to expand their retail footprint beyond the Pacific Northwest and independent retailers with rollouts in major chains Publix, Fresh Thyme and Kroger.
This distribution expansion opens up Coro’s retail footprint far beyond their Pacific Northwest roots and will substantially increase in-store availability of Coro products across the country. Coro currently has three product lines: salami and pepperoni slice packs, piccolos (ready-to-slice format) and their newest product offering, the Charcuterie Trio, a ready-to-serve, shelf stable, multi-flavor slice pack for easy entertaining.
Coro’s Major Retail Expansion Includes:
- Publix rolling out the Charcuterie Trio on shelves mid-August giving Coro a substantial retail footprint in the Southeast.
- Midwest chain Fresh Thyme has brought Coro on shelf to all of their stores across the region with their slice packs.
- After proving success on the West Coast, Kroger is expanding Coro’s presence on shelves nationwide in partnership with Murray’s Cheese’ in-store counters.
“We are thrilled to bring Coro to Publix and beyond! It’s time that everyone gets to taste the Coro difference,” said Co-founder and CEO Clara Veniard, “We know that our product stacks up against the category giants, in flavor, quality and price point. Now we have the nationwide distribution to prove this at scale and give more people access to high quality salami.”
This year, Veniard and her team brought on Coca-Cola Company and Vive Organic alum, Sherri Sparaga, as a fractional Head of Sales to lead their retail expansion as well as Sales Manager Paula Cappellin who joins the team to support Sparaga after 5 years with HelloFresh.
“The interest and excitement for Coro has been off the charts,” said Head of Sales Sherri Sparga “We are modernizing the salami category with a brand that is better from pork to plate. Our branding is attracting a younger clientele & consumers are tasting the difference.”
Coro is not only known for their creative flavors but also for their commitment to beating industry standards for safety and quality across the board. This is an instrumental part of their retail expansion as retailers want to be assured that their customers are only getting the best products. Coro owns and operates their state-of-the-art USDA-certified and Safe-Quality-Food (SQF) certified facility produces salami start to finish ensuring the highest health and safety standards.
With this cross-country expansion, Coro is poised to shake up the charcuterie aisle as one of the only women-owned salami brands on the market and is ready to redefine what people think when they think of salami. As the brand continues to grow, Coro remains committed to innovation, flavor, quality and their mission to bring people together around food.
