Monte’s Continues To Branch Out Beyond The Grocery Aisle; Partnering With The M Jewelers To Open Caffe Monte in SoHo
New York, NY – JUNE 25, 2025 – Monte’s Fine Foods, the award-winning sauce brand, announced today the opening of its first branded cafe, Caffe Monte. Partnering with popular nameplate jewelry brand, The M Jewelers, to bring this new brand experience to life as an installation at the jeweler’s new New York City store on Mulberry Street.
The cafe concept brings Monte’s mission to reinvent Italian-American home cooking with clean-label, uncompromisingly authentic products to life. The menu will be focused around a unique Italian coffee program, serving signature drinks commonly found across Southern Italy, with a revolving selection of grab-and-go pastries and sandwiches. High-end pantry items including Monte’s sauce and pasta will also be available for sale, along with popular and limited-edition brand merchandise like Monte’s latest “Heat” collection.
“From restaurant to retail to restaurant again - the opening of this cafe is a full circle moment, doubling down on our legacy of New York City hospitality. And doing this with a longtime friend and brand whose DNA is just as quintessential New York as ours makes it that more special,” said PJ Monte, Founder & CEO of Monte’s Fine Foods. “Having lived on Mulberry Street for half my life, being ingrained in the Little Italy and SoHo communities helped shape the Monte’s brand from the start, from the old-school heritage to the new and trendy. This location is the epitome of what Monte’s represents - definitely couldn’t have picked a better place to open our first cafe.”
“We’re always looking to align with partners that are not only pushing their respective industries forward but also fit our NYC ethos, and Monte’s embodies both those things so well,” said Mark Shami, Founder of The M Jewelers. “We’ve been friends for a long-time and have talked about doing something together for many years - we’re excited to open the doors to our new store and bring our brands together in such a fun and fresh way.”
Monte’s will also use the space as an innovation testing ground - dropping new, limited edition food products and merchandise at the cafe before launching more widely or rolling out to retailers. Monte’s and M Jewelers also plan to roll out a line of pasta-inspired jewelry together in the coming months.
“Creative and unexpected partnerships have become a hallmark of our brand, and while pairing food and jewelry isn’t expected, this shared space feels effortless and organic,” said Monte.
