Kanpai Foodz Expands Retail Presence With Target Launch
Kanpai Foodz, a pioneer in the freeze-dried candy category and one of the fastest-growing brands in the space, is excited to announce its retail launch at Target.
As of September 15th, one of Kanpai’s most popular products, Cosmic Crunch Freeze Dried Gummy Clusters, is available at nearly 1,700 Target stores across the nation. Kanpai Foodz will be launching six other products at select Target stores in the near future, too.
Founded in late 2023 by serial entrepreneurs Isaac Medeiros, Kanpai Foodz has hit a number of major milestones in a short period of time. Kanpai Foodz opened a dedicated manufacturing facility in Los Angeles, added nearly 6,000 retail doors, and created a YouTube channel with over 215,000 subscribers.
Prior to launching Kanpai Foodz, Isaac Medeiros founded and scaled Mini Katana, the largest online seller of swords, into an 8-figure brand with over 15 million subscribers on YouTube. Similarly, Hank Rao founded Japan Crate, a leading purveyor of Japanese subscription boxes, and scaled it into a $100M+ brand before exiting it in 2023.
“What sets Kanpai Foodz apart isn’t just our compelling brand, it’s our dedication to manufacturing our own products,” said Isaac Medeiros. “By controlling our manufacturing, we can deliver higher quality products to our customers and innovate faster than our competitors.”
“The growth of Kanpai Foodz has been unprecedented,” added Hank Rao. “We have launched in 30+ major retailers in 8 months across multiple channels. We’re especially excited with our nationwide launch into Target and appreciate their conviction in our brand to award us multiple placements.”
In addition to Target, you can find Kanpai Foodz at HomeGoods, World Market, BoxLunch, BevMo, and thousands of independent retailers across the country.
