Review: Honey Mama’s, Stumptown Make Magic With Cold Brew Crunch
Honey Mama’s x Stumptown Coffee Cold Brew Crunch

Honey Mama’s Cold Brew Crunch is a limited-time collaboration with Stumptown Coffee Roasters that pairs the brand’s rich, refrigerated chocolate fudge format with roasted coffee and cacao. The result is an exceptionally indulgent bar with a well-balanced chocolate and coffee profile, compelling whole-food ingredients, and packaging that effectively communicates the collaboration, making this one of Honey Mama’s strongest flavors to date.
Things that stand out:
- The flavor execution is excellent, with deep chocolate and pronounced roasted coffee notes that complement rather than compete with one another. The coffee adds depth and complexity while allowing Honey Mama’s signature chocolate character to remain front and center.
- The dense, fudge-like texture delivers the indulgence expected from Honey Mama’s. Straight from the refrigerator it has more chew and firmness, while allowing it to warm slightly produces a noticeably softer and more decadent experience.
- We love the ingredients: raw honey, organic coconut, organic unrefined coconut oil, organic cocoa powder, Stumptown roasted ground coffee, cacao nibs, pea protein crisps, vanilla extract, and Himalayan pink salt. It reinforces the brand’s real-food positioning without sacrificing flavor or richness.
- The Stumptown collaboration feels substantive rather than simply promotional. Ground coffee is incorporated directly into the product, and the resulting coffee flavor is prominent enough to give the bar a distinct identity within the Honey Mama’s lineup.
- The packaging has strong shelf appeal, with dark tones, warm accent colors, a clear image of the chocolate bar, and prominent Cold Brew Crunch and Stumptown messaging. The collaboration is easy to understand at a glance, while the visual presentation effectively signals a premium, indulgent product.
- Each serving contains 19 milligrams of caffeine, along with 120 calories, 9 grams of fat, 3 grams of fiber, and 7 grams of added sugar. The caffeine level adds another functional point of differentiation without positioning the product as an energy product.
Things to consider:
- The package lists three servings per bar, but the rich flavor and highly enjoyable texture make stopping at one-third feel somewhat unrealistic. Consumers eating the entire bar will need to account for three times the listed per-serving calories, sugar, fat, and caffeine.
- As with other Honey Mama’s products, refrigeration is required, which limits portability compared with conventional chocolate or snack bars. That requirement does, however, contribute directly to the product’s distinctive texture and fresh, fudge-like experience.
- As a limited-time collaboration, availability may prevent Cold Brew Crunch from becoming a dependable repeat purchase. Given the quality of the flavor, this is one collaboration that feels deserving of a longer-term place in the lineup.
