With the summer months approaching, brands are gearing up for warm weather and school vacations with frozen offerings like Tillamook’s new custard line and kid-friendly on-the-go snacks from Hippeas and LesserEvil. 88 Acres

Seed-based snack maker 88 Acres rolled out several new products in May. Its new Cinnamon Maple Edge’nola -- which was made in partnership with Misfits Market -- upcycles the edges from its existing seed bars into a new granola offering, sold for $3.99 per 10 oz. package. The brand also launched a Blueberry Lemon Seed Bar exclusively at Sprouts nationwide, with the bar and corresponding Blueberry Lemon Seed’nola also available on the brand’s website.

LesserEvil

LesserEvil added two new flavors to its low sugar Mini Cookies line, which was first introduced last year. Its Birthday Cake flavor is available at CVS, Gelsons, Giant Eagle and Thrive Market and will roll out into Costco in June and Whole Foods in July. Meanwhile, a new Fudge Brownie cookie will be sold at CVS, Gelsons, Raleys, Giant Eagle and Thrive Market. Both new flavors retail for $5.99 per 4.4 oz bag.

Obvi rolled out a collagen-infused protein bar, a meal replacement bar made with a cashew butter base, honey and whey isolate and offered in Fruity Cereal, Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch and Birthday Cupcakes. The bars are sold on the brand’s website for $39.99 per 12-pack.

Dunn Brothers Coffee

Dunn Brothers Coffee

Dunn Brothers Coffee partnered with global humanitarian organization Alight on a new Beyond Blend, made with East African and South American beans. A portion of the proceeds from the blend, which will be sold online for $18 and at Dunn Brothers locations through the end of June, will benefit Alight’s Changemakers 365 program to support refugee camps.

Purely Elizabeth added two new flavors to its Ancient Grain Granola lineup, Vanilla Chocolate Chip and Honey Peanut Butter, and also introduced new Grain-Free Apple Walnut Keto Granola Clusters. The new products are available at Target, Kroger and Whole Foods as well as the brand’s website.

Tillamook launched new Frozen Custards, made with 16 percent butterfat, extra cream and cage-free eggs. The new custard is offered in a variety of flavors including Oregon Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Fudgy Brownie, Sea Salt & Honeycomb Toffee and Bing Cherry Cheesecake and is sold at select retailers in the West such as Albertsons/Safeway and Kroger for $4.99.

Bohana released two new flavors of its popped water lily seeds, Zesty Ranch and Hickory BBQ, and also introduced upgraded and resealable packaging across its portfolio. The new flavors and packaging are available now on the brand’s website, Amazon and select retail partners.

TruEats is a new Texas-based baking company offering mixes made with traditional Eastern ingredients like chickpeas, buckwheat, moong dal, urad dal and monk fruit and containing no added sugar. The brand’s plant-based and vegan mixes include Pancake & Waffle Mix, Brownie Mix and Dutch Chocolate Muffin & Cake Mix, as well as a zero calorie sweetener, all sold on the brand’s website.

Organic chickpea snack maker Hippeas partnered with Illumination and Universal Pictures’ Minions franchise on limited edition Minions-themed Vegan White Cheddar Chickpea Puffs. The puffs will be sold in 6-packs of 1 oz. bags and 10 oz. family size bags on the brands website as well as on Walmart.com and in Whole Foods, Kroger, Sprouts and other retailers from June 1 to July 31.

Now Cow debuted its first coated bar with the launch of its Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup plant-based nutrition bar, a dairy-free, low sugar bar containing 20 grams of protein. The new bar is sold on the brand’s website and will hit shelves at The Vitamin Shoppe on June 20.
