Former Top Chef competitor Eric Adjepong and AYO Foods partnered to expand AYO’s West African-inspired line with two new entree offerings: Waakye and Chicken Yassa. Waakye contains South Sea Island red peas, jasmine rice, coconut oil, millet leaves and topped with a red sauce. Chicken Yassa is made with chicken thighs, caramelized onions, lemon and jasmine rice.

Toodaloo

Toodaloo

Snack maker Toodaloo debuted with five SKUs of adaptogenic trail mixes containing reishi, ashwagandha and lion's mane. The trail mixes are plant-based, vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free and grain-free, offered in varieties with cacao, maple, coffee, citrus or BBQ base flavors. Toodaloo’s trail mixes are available online for $9.75 per bag.

Massachusetts-based Cedar’s Foods introduced an Everything Hommos flavor exclusively at Whole Foods stores nationwide. The limited-edition offering is made with a base of Cedar’s plain, organic hommus blended with everything bagel seasoning and topped with black and white sesame seeds.

Austin, Texas-based bone broth brand Kettle & Fire launched its first broths made from animals that were raised using regenerative farming and ranching practices. The new broths are available in Beef and Chicken varieties and can be purchased at select retailers nationwide for $8.99 per 16.9 oz. box.

Blue Circle

Seafood company Blue Circle introduced salmon burgers to the freezer aisle this month. The burgers, which are made with Atlantic salmon, salt, pepper and lemon, are available on the brand’s website in 4-packs for a suggested retail price of $8.99.

The Good Crisp Company expanded beyond chips with the debut of Cheese Balls containing the immune-support ingredient Wellmune. The cheese balls are available in two flavors – Cheddar and Aged White Cheddar – and are available online and at select retailers for $4 per a 2.75 oz. canister.

Gotham Greens broadened its salad dressing portfolio with the launch of two plant-based, dairy-free dressings in Ranch and Caesar flavors. The new dressings are available at Sprouts Farmers Markets nationwide in 10 oz. bottles.

Gearing up for back-to-school season, Sweet Earth launched two new plant-based lines: deli slices and breakfast bowls. The deli slices come in turkey, ham and pepperoni varieties while the bowls are available in Protein Lover’s, Southwest Veggie and Huevos Rancheros. The new lines are available nationwide at retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Fresh Thyme Market, Walmart, Kroger and Target for a suggested retail price of $4.79 for the breakfast bowls and $6.99 per 6 oz. pack of deli slices.

Actress Tabitha Brown and McCormick teamed up to launch Sunshine All Purpose Seasoning: a salt-free, Caribbean-inspired blend of spices. The new seasoning contains garlic, ginger, thyme, turmeric, allspice as well as mango and pineapple powders and is available exclusively online in 2-packs for $14.95.

Nut butter maker Abby’s Better introduced single-serve squeeze pouches for its Date Pecan, Coconut Cashew, Coffee Almond, Honey Almond and Protein-Infused Cinnamon Roll Almond flavors. Spero Foods expanded its Sunflower Cheese lineup with Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese and Sunflower Cheddar Cheese offerings. Specialty cheese brand Cello introduced two new cheese flights to its portfolio: Cello Breeze and Cello Sunrise. The Breeze variety includes Cello’s classic English Cheddar as well as Blueberry Lemon Fontal and Cello’s Red Wine Soaked Goat Cheese. Cello Sunrise contains the brand’s cheddar gruyere blended with roasted red and black peppers, aged asiago and Cello’s Hand-Rubbed Tuscan Fontal. The new flights are available at Kroger for $12.99.

Canada-based Bluebird Provisions launched its line of bone broths in the U.S. The broth, which utilizes recyclable packaging, comes in a chicken-flavored, instant powered format and an RTD variety in chicken and beef flavors. The instant, 15-serving pouches are available for $24.99 and the RTD pouches are available in 2, 6 or 12-packs for $21.99, both sold on the brand’s website and Amazon.

Nut butter brand Fatso discontinued its Cocoa Peanut Butter flavor. The company cited consumer feedback about the spread's appearance as a reason for the change. In its place, the brand debuted a Maple Peanut Butter product containing 90 calories and 3 grams of protein per serving, sold online in 3-packs for $39.99.

Brooklyn-based ice cream maker and Kraft Macaroni & Cheese teamed up to launch a Kraft Macaroni & Cheese flavored ice cream. According to the Van Leeuwen team, the ice cream is meant to “bring that comforting, nostalgic feeling from a warm bowl of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.” The new flavor is available online for $12 a pint.

Functional mushroom-based products producer Om Mushroom Superfood expanded its beverage mix line with Immune Multi Boost available in Orange & Elderberry and Lemon & Elderberry flavors. Each powder-stick contains a 2,000 mg blend of Turkey Tail, Reishi, Chaga, Cordyceps and Agaricus blazei mushrooms and 1,000 mg of Vitamin C, Vitamin D3 and zinc.
