Kaari Foods is bringing cleaner, healthier versions of salad dressings and sauces to market. Amanda Johnston is the co-founder of the start-up brand, which highlights plant-based ingredients without the use of gums, stabilizers or preservatives. The company’s refrigerated line of dressings serve vegan, vegetarian, paleo, and Whole30 communities, as well as consumers with food allergies. Kaari launched in 2018 and is now available in retailers in Los Angeles, San Diego and New York. The company is looking to move into the shelf-stable section in the future, as well as grow distribution nationwide.
