As a pioneer in the plant-based industry, OmniFoods is proud to present the latest food technology, OmniNano Vegan Fat, a patented technology to lock the flavor inside the plant-based meat, once again reimagining the future of food and strengthen OmniFoods’ leading position in the industry. This patented technology of “OmniNanoTM Vegan Fat” improves its taste-locking function of plant-based meat and provides an excellent texture, taste and juicy meat that are similar to real meat to consumers.

Fat is the largest proportion of all components of meat, with an average content of 10% to 30%. It is also an important element that affects meat quality and its juiciness. During the cooking of meat, the muscle fibers start to shrink and squeeze to a significant amount of water and it will cause a loss of juiciness. In general, higher tenderness and juiciness are found in meat from fatter carcasses, the concentration of fat within the muscle (intramuscular or marbling fat). Therefore, meat with higher fat content, such as Japanese Wagyu beef, is particularly tender and juicy.

Animal fat in red meat is high in saturated fat and dietary cholesterol, which can influence blood cholesterol levels. OmniNano Vegan Fat is composed of unsaturated fats. The patented technology emulsifies oil and water, penetrates into plant-based materials to form a part of plant meat. OmniNanoTM technology will be applied to OMNI’s’ new products, including the Plant-based Beef Cut and Tips, Plant-based Chicken Wings and Plant-based Pork Cutlet, which are targeted to be launched in 2023.
