Siete Family Foods Launches New Sprouted Bean Dip

AUSTIN, Texas– Siete Family Foods, makers of grain-free Mexican-American food, has announced the launch of Sprouted Bean Dip. The introduction of Sprouted Bean Dip is the latest addition to the Austin-based brand’s line of heritage-inspired dips, which includes dairy-free Cashew Queso in Spicy Blanco and Mild Nacho flavors.

Made with pinto beans that have been soaked and sprouted, the dip includes other whole ingredients like coconut oil, jalapeño, and paprika. Rich in flavor, and smooth in texture, the new bean dip is versatile as a dip to pair with chips and tortillas, or as a larger part of a meal for tacos, nachos, bowls and more.

“I have vivid childhood memories of picking up bean dip from the store and wanting to get the right amount of dip on every chip,” said Miguel Garza, CEO and co-founder of Siete Family Foods. “It’s a treat to be able to relive that nostalgia and share it with others. I’ve been anxiously awaiting it’s availability, so I can pick it up from the store like I used to.”

Siete created the product in order to solve one of the Garza family’s own problems—loving beans, but not being able to digest them well. After experimenting with different cooking methods, Veronica discovered that the traditional method of soaking and sprouting beans allowed her, and her family, to be able to enjoy beans again. Now thousands nationwide will be able to do the same.

“Growing up, our family would walk into our Grandma’s house and be instantly greeted by the warm, savory aroma of a fresh pot of beans. Her famous bean tacos brought our family and friends together around the table to enjoy dinner together,” said Veronica Garza, co-founder and president of Siete Family Foods. “Our new Sprouted Bean Dip joins the flavors from our family’s kitchen with health-conscious cooking traditions so that we can share a beloved staple with consumers nationwide.”

Siete was founded after Veronica adopted a grain-free, low inflammation diet to deal with multiple autoimmune conditions and her family of seven joined her on the journey. As a Mexican-American family from South Texas, staples like chips and tortillas could no longer be enjoyed, so Veronica developed grain-free recipes that the family could savor together at the table again. Siete has since grown into a national Mexican-American food brand with multiple product lines including tortillas, tortillas, chips, hot sauces and dairy-free queso.

Siete’s new Sprouted Bean Dip is available for purchase in the refrigerated dips section of Whole Foods Market locations nationwide starting May 2019 (MSRP $5.99).
