Dang Foods Launches New Line of Plant-Based, Keto-Certified Dang Bars

BERKELEY, Calif. — Dang Foods, the modern Asian snack brand known for their flavorful Coconut Chips and Sticky-Rice Chips, debuts the keto-certified Dang Bar, a new line of plant-based bars made from minimal, nutrient-dense ingredients including a combination of smooth almond butter, creamy cocoa butter, coconut, complete pea protein, sunflower seeds and chia seeds. Formerly called FATBAR, each bar is packed with up to 10 grams of clean protein, 15 grams of fat, 4-5 grams of net carbs and absolutely no added sugar. Every bar within the line is keto-certified, vegan, and gluten-free, offering delicious nourishment for various lifestyles.

Available in three flavor varieties including Almond Vanilla, Lemon Matcha, and Chocolate Sea Salt on Amazon.com beginning in October, Dang Bars bring to life the ideal macronutrients for a high-fat, moderate protein, low-carb keto diet. Dang Bars contain approximately 70 percent calories from fat, 20 percent from protein, and 10 percent from net carbs. The intentional ingredients and unique multicultural flavor profiles make them the perfect snack, conveniently providing sustained energy without a sugar crash.

“Dang’s keto-friendly Lightly Salted Coconut Chips are the fastest growing item within the portfolio due to their high-fat, low-carb macronutrient profile. Keto is on fire right now, garnering more interest than Paleo and Whole30 because the benefits are clear: mental acuity, sustained energy, and reduced appetite,” said Dang Founder Vincent Kitirattragarn. “We did the research and couldn’t find good-tasting keto snacks, so we decided to make Dang Bar using whole ingredients. We pride ourselves on creating delicious snacks with Asian flavors and ingredients and Dang Bar is no exception.”

The initial three flavor varieties of the Dang Bar are currently available for purchase in a 12-pack count and subscription option at DangFoods.com, with the option to ship anywhere in the continental U.S. The bar launches with retailers nationwide beginning in late January 2019 at Whole Foods. Three additional Dang Bar flavors will launch in February 2019 in innovative Asian-inspired flavors including Cardamom Chai, Toasted Coconut and Saigon Cinnamon Chocolate.

Dang Foods products can be found at natural and traditional grocery stores nationwide including Kroger, Target, and Whole Foods among others. All flavors will be available online on Amazon and DangFoods.com, retailing for $2.49 MSRP each.
