“We spent the last 18 months talking to buyers, consumers and visiting stores to see how our product was being experienced by those different audiences and determining how our next design would refine the product offering without losing the Marlo’s Bakeshop look-and-feel that consumers recognize and buyers compliment us on time and again.” The result is a taller and narrower box that looks just as at home on the grocery shelf as it does in a high-end gift basket.
“We listened to the constructive feedback provided and learned that we needed to retain our box’s window to show off our delicious cookies’ texture but that we also needed to call out our premium, Non-GMO ingredients more prominently and make the actual box shape more shelf-friendly,” Gertz explains. The result is a beautiful package that stands out in any gourmet or conventional cookie set. The product line’s uniquely tender crunch also bridges the gap between soft cookie lovers and those more inclined to purchase harder, crunchy cookies.
