Distribution: Elavi Hits Whole Foods, Afia Enters Costco

Better-for-you snack brand Elavi is launching its high-protein, gluten-free, vegan brownies at Whole Foods Market stores across Southern California, Hawaii, Arizona and Nevada this week. The product is sweetened with dates and features a blend of brown rice protein, almonds and flaxseed. One brownie has 190 calories with 11 grams of protein and 12 grams of fiber.
Founded by a pair of fitness instructors, Los Angeles-based Elavi markets and distributes its brownies and cashew-based spreads to Amazon, Thrive Market, select Costco regions and Life Time fitness cafes and office pantries. The expansion into Whole Foods marks a “major inflection point in our growth,” said co-founder and CEO Michelle Razavi.
“As wellness professionals, we built Elavi to bridge the gap between indulgence and function. Today’s consumer wants more from their snacks – real ingredients, protein, fiber, and satiety — without compromising on taste. We’re thrilled to bring that innovation to Whole Foods Market’s shelves,” she said in a statement.
Elavi Protein Brownies retail for $3.99 per unit at Whole Foods.
