Distribution Roundup: Vacadillos Hits Albertsons, Yough! Goes to GoPuff

Vacadillos Goes Nationwide in Albertsons
Vacadillos, the meat snack brand owned by beef biltong purveyor Stryve Foods, is now available nationwide at Albertsons Companies stores, the brand announced in a press release today.
“At Stryve, we believe that healthy snacks should not compromise on taste, and the nationwide availability of our Vacadillos products at Albertsons stores is a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional products to our consumers,” said Stryve CEO Chris Boever in a statement.
Vacadillos produces a line of air-dried “beef bites” available in spicy flavor offerings like Chile Lime, Chipotle Honey and Habanero. Each 2 oz. bag contains two servings of 15 grams of protein and 0-1 gram sugar each.
According to Stryve, the launch into Albertsons continues the brand’s focus on expanding the availability of its better-for-you meat snacks brands across the country.
“We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Albertsons to bring Vacadillos to a broader audience,” said Katie Grady, Chief Customer Officer of Stryve. “This partnership reflects our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of consumers who are looking for delicious, protein-rich snacks that support a healthy lifestyle.”
Yough! Goes to GoPuff
Dough and frozen pizza maker Yough! – which markets low-carb doughs made from Greek yogurt – is now available in New York City via GoPuff, the brand told NOSH via email.
The startup food brand – which is positioning itself as an even better-for-you alternative to not just traditional dough but also cauliflower, chickpea and almond flour based pizza doughs – makes a line of frozen pizzas available in Cheese and Pepperoni variety, as well as “naked” crusts and uncooked dough.
In addition to GoPuff, Yough! is rolling out to all Foxtrot locations across Chicago, Austin, Dallas and Washington, D.C. and will be on shelves in all stores by “the first or second week of December,” the company said.
DAVIDsTEA Seeds the Northeast
Dry tea manufacturer DAVIDsTEA is growing its U.S. wholesale offerings, the company announced today, rolling out four flavors of its premium tea sachets into 150 Stop & Shop locations in the Northeast.
The brand will be available at the regional grocery chain, which is part of the Ahold Delhaize retail family, in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island. The chain will carry DAVIDsTEA’s Valerian Nights sleep-aid, organic Cream of Earl Grey, herbal Forever Nuts and organic Cold 911 varieties.
In addition to Stop & Shop, the brand also recently launched in 20 Roche Bros. locations across Massachusetts with five flavors.
Prior to its 2020 decision to shutter all of its branded U.S. retail locations, Montreal-based DAVIDsTEA operated 23 stores throughout the Northeast, which the company said provides it with pre-established brand recognition for its new retail pursuit in the region.
Earlier this year, the brand entered a distribution agreement with UNFI to service the brand in the U.S. and Canada.
“We believe in the potential of expanding our offering wherever our customers are,” said CEO and chief brand officer Sarah Segal in a release. “Our strategy involves step-by-step launches along the U.S. east coast to gauge consumer tastes and gradually replicate the success we have enjoyed in Canada. North of the border, we have already established a strong wholesale presence by selling our premium tea products and accessories into more than 3,800 doors. We will continue to meet our customers where they live.”
