Mizkan America Debuts Three Organic Vinegars and Balsamic Vinegar

Mt. Prospect, Ill. — Mizkan America Food Ingredients Division announces the addition of four new vinegars to its vinegar offerings with the introduction of Organic Red Wine Vinegar, Organic White Wine Vinegar, Organic Balsamic Vinegar and Balsamic Vinegar without caramel coloring. Mizkan already offers to food manufacturers an organic apple cider vinegar and organic white distilled vinegar, as well as a dark balsamic vinegar, white balsamic vinegar and balsamic vinegar reduction. All of the new vinegars are available in 55-gallon drums and have a two-year shelf life at room temperature.

  • The Organic Red Wine Vinegar is an all-natural 60 grain (6%) vinegar and is a blend of the fermented juices of organic Sangiovese and Lambrusco grapes and other organic grapes. It is a bright, ruby red vinegar with delicate red wine notes.
  • The Organic White Wine vinegar is a 60 grain (6%) and is a blend of the fermented juices of organic Trebbiano and Chardonnay grapes and other organic grapes. It is a bright, golden white and has a clean and balanced white wine note.
  • The Organic Balsamic Vinegar is a 60 grain (6%) vinegar and is a blend of the fermented, heated and caramelized juices of organic Trebbiano, Lambrusco and other organic grapes. It is matured in oak or chestnut casks for a minimum of two months. It is a clear, very dark-brown vinegar with a balance of sweet and sour flavors and a woody aroma note.
  • The Balsamic Vinegar without Caramel Coloring features a blend of non-organic Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes that have been fermented, heated and caramelized. It shares the characteristics of traditional balsamic vinegar with the only difference being the exclusion of caramel coloring.

Each new vinegar variety adds a distinctive flavor to finished products, including marinades, dressings, sauces, soups, demi-glazes, food bases and prepackaged meals.

“We want to offer manufacturers more options for organic product development and the new organic offerings are a great compliment to our existing vinegar products,” said Dave Sackett, executive director of sales and marketing for Mizkan America Food Ingredient division. “Our balsamic vinegar products continue to be in high demand, and we created the vinegar without caramel coloring to meet the needs of manufacturers that want to feature clean labels.”
