Chicago, IL (September 15, 2026) - Amylu Foods, a premium chicken brand known for flavorful, high-quality sausages, meatballs, burgers and breakfast products, is accelerating its national growth with dollar sales up 107% year over year and its retail footprint projected to grow nearly 50% by the end of 2026.* Amylu Foods is expected to reach 129,998 points of distribution (PODs), up from 87,547 in 2025*, fueled by a major Target expansion this fall, among continued distribution gains at additional retailers.
In September, Target will significantly expand its Amylu Foods assortment across refrigerated and frozen categories, with 11 products receiving expanded or new distribution — eight existing Amylu Foods products growing their footprint and three new products launching at the retailer.
The expansion also marks a larger push into breakfast and grab-and-go occasions for Amylu Foods, with two of the three new Target launches introducing new refrigerated breakfast formats. Target will be the first retailer to carry the brand's new refrigerated Breakfast Time Patties, while Maple Breakfast Bites will debut in a new individually portioned refrigerated grab-and-go format. Both innovations extend the brand beyond traditional meal occasions as consumers increasingly seek convenient, protein-forward options throughout the day.
"Consumers are rethinking where and how they incorporate protein throughout the day, creating opportunities well beyond traditional lunch and dinner occasions,” said Ashlee Leo, VP of Marketing at Amylu Foods. “Our expansion with Target allows us to reach more households while introducing new formats that make high-quality, flavorful protein even easier to enjoy. This expansion reflects where we see tremendous opportunity for Amylu as we continue to grow nationally.”
Amylu Foods' momentum extends across both the chicken sausage and breakfast meat categories. The brand is currently the #1 dollar-growth chicken sausage brand, driving nearly half of the segment's growth.* Amylu is also the #1 dollar-growth brand within refrigerated chicken breakfast sausage, and the #2 dollar-growth brand across the entire breakfast sausage and meats category.*
The Target expansion comes as consumers increasingly prioritize protein-rich, nutrient-dense foods that fit seamlessly into busy lifestyles. That focus has only intensified amid broader cultural conversations around protein intake, satiety and the rise of GLP-1 medications, creating new demand for convenient foods that deliver meaningful protein without compromising on flavor. Amylu Foods is well positioned to meet that demand with flavorful, easy-to-prepare options across breakfast, lunch and dinner.
With sales more than doubling year over year, distribution approaching 130,000 PODs and new innovations expanding the brand into additional eating occasions, Amylu Foods enters the final months of 2026 with significant momentum as it continues building its national retail presence.
