CAMDEN, N.J.— Campbell’s Foodservice announces the launch of three new soup varieties to its Campbell’s® Culinary Reserve line including Cuban-Style Black Bean, Italian-Style Wedding and Spicy Harissa White Bean in addition to a refreshed Mexican Street Corn recipe. The new varieties provide operators with more ways to incorporate global trends and concepts as well as approachable comfort flavors onto menus.
“With consumer soup preferences evolving, we’re always innovating with new flavors and perfecting recipes to stay ahead of what’s trending and what consumers are looking for,” said Gerald Drummond, Executive Chef at Campbell’s Foodservice. “The addition of these new flavors to our Campbell’s® Culinary Reserve line provides operators with a convenient way to try a limited time offering on the menu or feature the soup as a special without additional labor costs.”
Market research shows that 40% of US consumers are interested in global soups and stews1, and the addition of new Cuban-Style Black Bean, Spicy Harissa White Bean and Mexican Street Corn varieties deliver on-trend flavors:
Cuban-Style Black Bean boasts bold flavor in a hearty mix of black beans, roasted poblanos, chipotle, roasted garlic and cumin for a classic Cuban favorite with a kick. It is also gluten-free and vegan.
Spicy Harissa White Bean brings together popular flavors from Africa and the Middle East featuring harissa, white beans, garlic, herbs, and tomatoes and a hint of spice.
Mexican Street Corn combines sweet corn, cotija cheese, a traditional spice blend and a hint of lime. This ready-to-cook vegetarian and gluten-free soup serves up true-to-tradition authenticity.
In addition, 82% of consumers indulge in comfort foods at least once a week2, confirming the need for flavors like Campbell’s® Culinary Reserve new Italian-Style Wedding on menus:
Italian-Style Wedding features acini di pepe pasta, tender meatballs, green spinach, herbs and Parmesan cheese in a rich chicken broth, which offers the satisfying flavor of traditional Italian wedding soup.
