Last year Mozaffarian, a cardiologist and Tufts professor, co-chaired the task force that led the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. But his relationship with the Biden administration hasn’t ended yet: Mozaffarian was appointed a member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition earlier this year, which lets him continue to, uh, exercise influence on the food biz. Just don’t mess with the professor: he’s a third degree black belt.
