WHO WE ARE:

We are looking for someone with a passion for brewing craft beer, diversifying the industry, and making the world a better place through great beer. Our brewer will report directly to and work alongside the Owners. The focus of this position is to brew, innovate, and create a wide variety of beers in accordance with our standards. We are a 5BBL Brewery in Eatonton, GA at Lake Oconee. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Brew beer and perform cellaring tasks according to SOPs.
  • Set up hoses, fittings, and clamps as required for production and cleaning operations.
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment and work areas.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Brew Bruzze Brewing recipes according to brand standards and provide input into development of recipes.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of raw goods and brewery supplies.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all brewery equipment.
  • Conduct sensory evaluation to maintain consistent beer quality.
  • Participate in off-site events and festivals as a brand representative.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including varied shifts determined by management and dictated by business/facility.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
  • Draft system – cleaning and maintaining draft lines and dispense equipment for event kegerators.
  • Perform production operations, CIP’s, and sanitation practices with strict adherence to SOP’s set forth in training.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on pumps, valves, tanks, and process equipment.
  • Embrace the brewing process and opportunities for continual improvement. 


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Minimum 1-3 years brewing operations experience or industry related experience. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work week is based on a 40-hour schedule.  
  • Safety and quality focused in all work activities.
  • Handle multiple demands and adapt to rapid changes.
  • Able to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in critical thinking and strategic problem solving.
  • Strong skills in communication, organization, record keeping, and time management.
  • Continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Willingness to fill in other job duties as necessary.
  • Fundamental knowledge of plumbing, mechanics, and brewing process flow.
  • Knowledge of beer styles and industry trends.
  • Ability to communicate well with staff, guests, and others. 
  • Positive attitude with willingness to grow and learn new skills.
  • Ability to work with computer software and calculate basic math. 
  • Physical Requirements – Candidate should be able to lift at least 55 lbs. from ground level and should also be able to move 165 lbs. of kegged beer from one location to another. Physically capable of standing for long periods of time and able to kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl. Position involves long periods of varying conditions, from very hot and humid to very cold.
  • Alcohol Responsibility – The candidate must fully understand that they are a representative of not only the company, but of the alcohol beverage industry. They are to conduct themselves within the limits of the law and with concern to the responsibility of consumption at all times. This includes working hours, trade shows, festivals and while entertaining in the name of the company or its affiliates. Any poor reflection or legal matters that may arise due to poor judgment may be dealt with by means of disciplinary action up to and including termination
