Frozen seafood meal maker Scott & Jon’s has landed in 490 Whole Foods Market stores across the country, bringing the brand’s total nationwide door count to approximately 17,000.
The natural retailer will carry four of the brand’s SKUs: Honey Sesame Salmon, Lemon Butter Dill Salmon, Baja Fish Taco and Fish Tikka Malsa, which is exclusive to Whole Foods. The meals have a SRP of $6.99 each.
“Whole Foods shoppers care deeply about where their food comes from and how it’s made, which aligns perfectly with our goals at Scott & Jon’s. We’re excited to bring them seafood meals that deliver on taste, nutrition and convenience, all at an approachable price point,” said co-founder Jon Demers.
In the 12-week period ended August 10, Scott & Jon’s became the fastest-growing brand in the frozen single-serve category by dollar and unit velocity and the No. 1 brand of shrimp meals, according to SPINS data cited by the brand.
Katie’s Bakes Up Target Partnership
Katie’s has hit the bullseye. The handmade frozen pizza brand is launching its Burrata Margherita, Pepperoni Stracciatelli, Meatball and Black Garlic Burrata Cheese varieties in Target stores nationwide.
“As a busy working mom, it’s hard to find convenient, real food – so we made it ourselves. This is real food for the soul handcrafted with the best ingredients. There’s nothing else like it and we’re proud to stand behind that,” said founder Katie Lee in a statement.
Katie’s claims it has outperformed the frozen pizza category with more than 100% year-over-year growth since 2021. Beyond Target, the brand’s products are also available at The Fresh Market, Bristol Farms and Mother’s Market and Kitchen, among other retailers.
Bezi Partners with Whole Foods in the Northeast
Bezi is heading to Whole Foods Market shelves across the Northeast. Available in two flavors – Savory & Toasted and Spicy & Sweet – the brand’s labneh is made using innovative dairy technology to make a creamier version of the strained yogurt condiment.
“No successful board meeting, no glowing review from a McKinsey senior partner, no big bonus compares to seeing something I built from scratch given five inches of shelf space in one of the biggest grocery stores in the country,” wrote co-founder Ilay Karateke in a LinkedIn post.
The brand, which made its retail debut in New York City last year, is positioning its labneh as a Middle Eastern spreadable cheese that can be an alternative to cream cheese or sour cream.
JusRol Rolls Out to Walmart
JusRol’s Snap Pizza Dough is rolling out to nearly 400 Walmart locations across the country, bringing the brand’s total door count to over 15,000.
Launched in 2024, Snap Pizza Dough was “crafted for pizza lovers who want the pizza experience at home without the hassle,” according to a press release. Each pack includes two dough balls made with recognizable ingredients and free from artificial colors and high-fructose syrups.
Del Real Foods Lands in Stop & Shop
Del Real Foods is hitting 350 Stop & Shop locations throughout the Northeast, strengthening its retail presence in key markets, including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey.
The supermarket chain will carry Del Real’s Carnitas (SRP $9.99), Barbacoa (SRP $11.99), Chicken Fajitas Kit (SRP $9.99) and Mexican Rice (SRP $6.99).
The brand’s partnership with Stop & Shop comes on the heels of its launch in Target stores nationwide and Costco stores in the Northeast and Southeast regions.
