Craig’s Vegan Enters the Frozen Novelty Market with the Launch of Pre-Portioned Minis
Craig’s Vegan, maker of deliciously indulgent ice cream classics with a modern plant-based spin, announced the launch of its single, pre-portioned Minis, a first for the plant-based ice cream category. Available at select retailers in August, the celeb-adored plant-based brand will offer five flavors in the new mini size, including Melrose Mint Chip, Kursten’s PB Krunch, Perfectly Chocolate, Sunset & Strawberry and Killa’ Vanilla.
Perfectly portioned for those imminent on-the-go sweet cravings, Craig’s Vegan Minis feature the same creamy and rich plant-based desserts that consumers and A-listers love, now in a 3.6 oz mini size with a spoon in the lid. Offering classic flavors with names inspired by the brand’s California roots, Craig’s Vegan chef-crafted ice creams are made with a creamy, premium cashew base that is 100% vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, and kosher.
“A recipe we’ve worked on perfecting for years, our plant-based ice cream delivers on both taste and texture thanks to its creamy cashew base,” said Founder and Restaurateur Craig Susser. “As we continue to see increased demand for dairy-free desserts and the frozen novelty space, we’re excited to offer our fans the same decadent ice cream experience in a plant-based and nostalgic mini form—no sharing required.”
Frozen novelties are a $1B market, according to Information Resources Inc. (IRI), and paired with an increased demand for non-dairy ice cream and plant-based foods as a whole, Craig’s Vegan is well-equipped to disrupt the space. In the last three months alone, the brand has expanded to a variety of new retailers across the country including Publix, New Seasons, Chamberlin’s, Earth Origins, Oliver’s Market, Mollie Stone’s Earth Fare and more.
Craig’s Vegan Minis will be available in the frozen section of select retailers as well as direct to your doorstep online beginning in August and are sold with an SRP of $3.49.
The brand boasts several celebrity fans, including Hailey Bieber, and in 2022 launched a co-branded Cold Brew Coffee flavor with Emma Chamberlain’s Chamberlain Coffee, and a custom Sundae on the restaurant menu with TikTok darling, Tinx. Most recently, Craig’s Vegan collaborated with the Instagram-famous FLOUR SHOP to create a line of vegan ice cream cakes available for a limited time. In addition to its scoop shop in Las Vegas, Craig’s Vegan can also be found on the menus of popular restaurants like Johnny Rockets, Fatburger, and Burger Lounge in iconic classic shakes.
Craig’s Vegan is available at natural and conventional grocery as well as independent stores across the country, as well as online at craigsvegan.com.
About Craig’s Vegan
In 2011, Craig Susser opened Craig’s Restaurant in West Hollywood, where he worked with Executive Chef Kursten Kizer to create a vegan, cashew-based ice cream for the menu in 2016. Soon the requests for to-go scoops became too frequent to ignore, and in 2018, the brand launched a pint-sized line of its vegan ice creams. By 2022, the brand had opened an ice-cream-style parlor in Las Vegas and partnered with influencers Emma Chamberlain and Tinx to create two iconic collaborations. The brand now offers six delicious flavors, including Melrose Mint Chip, Kursten’s PB Krunch, Cold Brew Coffee made with Chamberlain Coffee, Killa’ Vanilla, Perfectly Chocolate, and Sunset & Strawberry. Craig’s Vegan can be found at grocery stores, as well as online, direct to your doorstep from the website.
