Introducing The Burrito Bueno Frozen Burrito Line from Vista Hermosa

NEW YORK, N.Y.— Vista Hermosa, the consumer packaged goods brand created by popular Mexican taqueria Tacombi, launches Burrito Bueno, a line of frozen burritos that is debuting at Whole Foods Market in select Northeast stores early this fall. Burrito Bueno will launch with three varieties: Super Spicy Chicken, Bean y Oaxaca Cheese and Sweet Potato y Cactus. The new product joins Vista Hermosa’s existing line of simple, hand-crafted Mexican pantry staples, which includes Corn and Flour Tortillas and three kinds of Totopos (or “Tortilla Chips”).

Inspired by the popular burritas served at Tacombi taquerias, the 8oz, protein-packed Burrito Buenos are hand-rolled in Vista Hermosa flour tortillas that are freshly baked in avocado oil. Their traditional Mexican flavors are drawn from ingredients such as cactus, escabeche (pickled vegetables), and salsas. The Burrito Bueno line will launch with three flavors, Super Spicy Chicken, featuring fire-seared chicken; Bean y Oaxaca Cheese, with pinto and black beans; and a vegan option, Sweet Potato y Cactus, with roasted sweet potatoes, pinto beans, roasted mushrooms, and cactus.

Launched in 2015, Vista Hermosa is the first consumer packaged goods line from the food and beverage brand Tacombi, whose mission is to connect people to Mexico through its taquerias, consumer products, and technology. Vista Hermosa was created when the team couldn’t find tortillas that met their standards of authenticity, quality, and freshness for their taquerias and started making their own. Inviting consumers to experience a taste of Mexico in their own homes, Vista Hermosa products are made from simple, wholesome, Non-GMO ingredients and are made using only traditional Mexican processes.

The Burrito Bueno retails for $5.99 and the product line will launch in select Whole Foods Markets.

About Tacombi

Tacombi began its journey in 2006 as a taco-serving bus on the sands of the Yucatán and now operates 13 taquerias across New York City, Miami, FL and the Greater Washington, D.C. area. Drawing on the rich culinary traditions across distinct regions of Mexico, its menu offers a variety of authentic taco recipes alongside traditional Mexican bites and beverages. With the opening of its first New York City location in 2010, Tacombi crafted its own line of fresh tortilla products under the brand Vista Hermosa that are made from scratch daily for use in its taquerias. Vista Hermosa now includes corn tortillas, flour tortillas and tortilla chips (“Totopos”) and are sold in the taquerias and in retail in over 2,000 stores. As Tacombi opens kitchens in new cities, each new taqueria is participating in growing The Tacombi Foundation’s impact, with a mission to advance Mexican communities through education and food accessibility.  As part of the foundation, The Tacombi Community Kitchen provides local food relief for families and neighbors in need by donating thousands of meals made at each taqueria kitchen.
