CHICAGO — I Heart Keenwah, makers of quinoa snack and pantry items, will unveil Microwaveable Toasted Quinoa at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California, in March. The new product line will be available in three flavors (Sea Salt, Garlic and Spanish Style), providing a more convenient and instant way for consumers to enjoy I Heart Keenwah’s critically acclaimed toasted heirloom quinoa.
Like I Heart Keenwah’s other Toasted Quinoa products, Microwavable Toasted Quinoa starts with Organic Bolivian Royal Quinoa, a single-origin heirloom seed sourced only from the Salt Flat region of Bolivia. The seeds are gently toasted, a nod to the traditional way of preparing quinoa in Bolivia, resulting in a nutty flavor and fluffy texture, and then pre-cooked before being sealed in a BPA-free, microwave-ready bag. I Heart Keenwah is the only US brand specializing in toasted quinoa products.
