New Products: Collabs from A-Sha and Ghost, Plus Fly By Jing’s Hot Pot Bomb

In this week’s new products roundup, A-Sha seeks to transport consumers to Bikini Bottom with SpongeBob SquarePants-inspired ramen noodle cups, Fly By Jing introduces its “Hot Pot Bomb,” and Ghost bulks up classic childhood cereals with 17 grams of protein.

Sobo Foods

After nearly a year of R&D, Sobo Foods has introduced two new additions to its dumpling lineup: General Tso’s Chicken and Korean BBQ Pork. The former is the brand’s take on a takeout classic, and the latter is a bulgogi-inspired dumpling “packed with garlicky soy, toasted sesame, white onion, glass noodles and julienned carrot,” according to a LinkedIn post from founder Eric Ji Sun Wu. Piko Provisions

Hawaii-based baby and family food company Piko Provisions unveiled its Stage 3 Purée Line, designed to support toddlers’ developing nutritional needs. The new collection includes Lu’au Stew, Pala’ai Pie and Pitaya Bowl, all of which are crafted with whole, locally sourced ingredients like kabocha squash, banana and taro. According to Piko, the products were formulated to meet or exceed global nutritional recommendations for early childhood development, with high protein and healthy fat content. Piko Provisions’ Stage 3 Purée Line is available on the brand’s direct-to-consumer website, pikoprovisions.com, and will roll out to select retail partners across Hawaii later this month.

Fly By Jing

Fly By Jing has debuted its “Hot Pot Bomb”: a cube hot pot base designed to bring “the hot pot experience from restaurants to everyday life,” according to the brand. Crafted in partnership with culinary creator Logan Moffitt (a.k.a. “The Cucumber Guy”), the broth features Sichuan peppercorn, chili, garlic, ginger and other “umami-packed ingredients.” The Hot Pot Bomb is available on Fly By Jing’s direct-to-consumer website, flybyjing.com, for $25 for four cubes.

Lactalis USA

Lactalis USA has tapped into surging consumer demand for high-protein products with the launch of Kraft Natural Cheese Protein Cheese Sticks. Available in two varieties – Mild Cheddar and Pepper Jack – each stick contains 17 grams of protein and contains 50% less fat than Kraft Natural Cheese’s traditional Mild Cheddar and Pepper Jack Cheese varieties.
