Distribution: Doughlicious Expands Whole Foods Partnership; In Good Hands Lands in Sprouts

Doughlicious Goes Nationwide With Whole Foods Market
Several months after landing stateside, The London Dough Co.’s cookie dough snack platform – Doughlicious – has gone nationwide with Whole Foods Market, expanding its partnership with the grocery chain. The retailer carries the brand’s Frozen Cookie Dough and Gelato Bites, which have a SRP of $6.99 per 6-piece box.
“Our goal is to be as ubiquitous as leading frozen novelties. Our packaging strategically captivates consumers with its ‘lick the pack appeal’ and approachable facade,” said Russell Barnett, managing director of Doughlicious, in a statement. “Every detail, from vibrant colors to bold, expandable typography to indulgent imagery and textures, is crafted to evoke envy and ignite the senses.”
Since its launch in 2017, the London-based brand’s products have landed in retailers including WFM, Tesco, and Costco throughout the U.K. and Woolworths in Australia. Barnett previously told Nosh that the success of Doughlicious’ Whole Foods U.K. partnership was a driving force behind its expansion into the U.S., noting that the retailer’s stateside team members “understood the business and the evolution of snacking.”
Doughlicious made its U.S. debut in January in 185 WFM stores across the Northeast, Southwest, Rocky Mountains, and Mid-Atlantic regions, which encompass markets like New York, Washington, D.C., Dallas and Denver. At Expo West 2024, the brand unveiled a new look that “embodies the essence of its products” and harmonizes its portfolios across the U.S., U.K. and Australia.
Doughlicious’ entire product range – including those items sold in the states – is produced at the company’s 21,000 sq. ft. facility in the U.K., giving the brand the “luxury of time” to properly handle its hero ingredient, oat flour, used to make the cookie dough component gluten-free.
“We are excited to bring Doughlicious to Whole Foods Market stores nationwide, allowing more U.S. consumers to indulge in our delicious frozen snacks that also happen to be better for you,” said Kathryn Bricken, founder of Doughlicious, in a press release. “Our products offer a new way to enjoy classic and nostalgic cookie dough.”
