Expo West Gallery: New Products From Konscious, Our Home, Blackbird & More

Whether you’re lacing up to hit the trade show floor or following online from afar, we’ve got you covered for this year’s massive Expo West 2024. To kick things off, here’s a preview of some of the new products and innovations at this year’s event, including Goodles going gluten-free, new pizzas and wings from Blackbird, Los Angeles-based food tech startup YoEgg’s first-ever retail product.

Armed with new colorful packaging, dried fruit snack brand Solely is launching three new flavors of its Fruit Jerky: Mango Blueberry, Mango Passionfruit and Mango Guava. Coming off the recent announcement of its new Bling Bing Bac’n, better-for-you mac and cheese maker Goodles has also gone gluten-free launching a new Vegan Be Heroes and its Cheddy Mac varieties made with corn, rice and chickpea flours. The two new products come in 6 oz. boxes and are available in six-packs online for $31.32. Each box is packed with over 11 grams of protein and four grams of fiber. Karma Nuts Cashew Cookies (#N305)

Cashew nut snack brand Karma Nuts has taken a step into indulgent snacks with its three-SKU line of cookie bites. The grain-free, gluten-free cookies are made with cashew flour and sweetened with dates. Bubbies Fine Foods (#1783)

Pickle maker Bubbies is launching Kosher Dill Pickle Chips in two flavors: Original and Spicy. Using a proprietary lacto-fermentation process, Bubbies is bringing its 140-year-old signature fermented pickle recipe and convenience to the pickle chip category. Our Home (#5489)

Better-for-you snack company Our Home has added three new products across its portfolio of brands. Plant-based puffs brand You Need This has added two new flavors of its snackable Fries: Hot Cheddar and Zesty Ranch. Six-packs of the 5.5 oz. bags are available online for $31.78. The snack maker’s brand Popchips brand has added Nacho flavor to its offerings. The 5-ounce bags retail for $26.87 per four-pack online. Along with the new snack flavors, Real Food From The Ground Up has reformulated to incorporate seasoning into the dough and made the crackers 10% bigger.

Konscious Foods (#5679)

Plant-based frozen sushi and seafood maker Konscious Foods will debut three new products including Smoked Salmon, Kimbap Korean Veggie Rice Roll and a Salmon Avocado Roll. The novel smoked salmon product is made with carrots, pea hull fiber and konjac root. Additionally, the kimbap roll features carrots, cucumber and chili crunch mushroom protein while the salmon avocado product includes plant-based salmon and avocado.

Blackbird Foods (#5376)

Frozen plant-based player Blackbird Foods is expanding its pizza and wings portfolio with the addition of a Tomato Veggie Pizza and two new wing varieties: Texas BBQ and Thai Chili. The new pizza will launch exclusively at Sprouts where it will be available for $9.99 and join the brand’s existing Supreme and Kale & Mushroom pizzas on shelf.

YoEgg (#N609)

Los Angeles-based food tech startup YoEgg will debut its first retail product – a sunny side up egg – at Expo West this year. The plant-based eggs are made from soy and chickpea protein and feature a “runny yolk” in the center. The alt-eggs will be sold in the freezer aisle in four-pack boxes at select specialty supermarkets in Los Angeles.

GoodPop (#5015)

Better-for-you frozen treat maker GoodPop has expanded its no added sugar Junior Pops line with two new flavors: Mango and Strawberry. The line is made with fruit juice and does not include high fructose corn syrup, alternative sweeteners or artificial flavors and dyes. According to the brand, each box of Mango pops is made with 2 whole mangoes and each box of Strawberry pops contains 11 strawberries.

SOMOS (#N836-N837)

Mexican-inspired food company SOMOS has added Pico de Gallo salsa to its portfolio of rice, beans, entrees and condiments. The shelf-stable salsa is “chunky and scoopable” and made with tomatoes, jalepeños, onions and cilantro. The product will be on shelf at over 1,100 Walmart stores nationwide for $3.99 per 11.6 oz jar.
