NotCo Enters North American Plant-Based Meat Category With Launch Of NotBurger

NEW YORK, N.Y. – NotCo, the fast-growing food tech company with a first-of-its-kind patented A.I. technology named Giuseppe, will officially break into the plant-based meat sector in North America with its signature NotBurger. The introduction will take place at Natural Products Expo West 2022 at booth N1429, before hitting retail shelves soon after. Attendees will be among the first in the country to experience the lip-smacking plant-based burger and are invited to visit the NotCo booth for samples. In addition, NotCo will be exhibiting its popular NotMilk line in Whole, Chocolate, 2% Reduced Fat, and 1% Low Fat.

A trailblazing global leader that’s disrupting three categories across eight countries simultaneously, NotCo makes a robust portfolio of plant-based foods including NotMilk, NotBurger, NotMeat, NotIceCream and NotMayo, that taste, feel, cook, and function just like their animal-based counterparts. NotBurger first launched in Chile in 2020 at Burger King, where a 3-month forecast sold out in three weeks, selling 43 units/store/day and achieving 4x the sales target. In conventional retail channels, NotBurger holds over 5% of the market share for the total burger category. With this success, NotBurger has continued to expand throughout Latin America. In the U.S., NotBurger will be available regionally this spring and nationally this summer, just in time for BBQ season, with an exclusive food service-specific version to launch shortly thereafter.

“We believe we must completely change the food system, and to do so we need to create amazingly delicious products that don’t require consumers to compromise or make sacrifices,” said Matias Muchnick, CEO and Co-Founder of NotCo. “Once you taste it, you’ll truly believe in the power a great-tasting product has in consumer adoption. Our NotBurger has received great feedback and achieved widespread distribution in Latin America, and consumers in the U.S. have been craving availability stateside. We’re thrilled to introduce NotBurger, which has grown to be one of our most popular NotCo products, to curious consumers here to continue our mission of removing animals from the equation.”’

A variety of plants and unique ingredient combinations were identified by Giuseppe, NotCo’s first-of-its-kind patented AI technology, to create the juicy, delicious NotBurger. Giuseppe, alongside NotCo’s team of AI Chefs and R&D experts, enables NotCo to create plant-based foods and beverages faster, better, and more accurately than anyone else in the industry. These unique capabilities recently led to the announcement of a joint venture with Kraft Heinz, to accelerate AI-driven plant-based innovation globally.

NotBurger will begin rolling out to retailers in the frozen section in late March in 4 oz. single packs and 16 oz. four pack units. For NotCo sales inquiries, please contact Steve@thenotcompany.com.
